Re: We are going to have a
This Mini is a 2003 SC model. I don't know what the SC stands for, because it sure doesn't feel like it is supercharged. I'm not trying to compare it to the Viper, but it's slower off the line until it starts to wind up, than any car I've ever driven. Jeff, your...
Re: We are going to have a
Before January I will try to line up another car that I can actaully stand to drive. If not, I have to come with a little pos Mini.
Don't think I can make it this weekend, go my Nephew's 3rd birthday party (lots of fun). Wish I could be there, have fun!
Here's a shot of the man behind the lens!
Hey Guys, great hanging yesterday! Wish I could have made Hooters and I think I might have opted out of the party I went to if, I knew we would be carrying the Hooters girls around! I think the best part of the day was watching the brain surgeons organize all the vipers in one picture. I have...
Re: Revised List Of Attendees So Far
I might be able to swing the morning part. I have a party in the afternoon and I am leaving town later that night on a business trip, so if I can squeeze it, I will be there.
He doesn't have to check for belt slippage, he needs to tighten it! Unless he has a hose off one of his tubes, it's slipping. I also don't know many people getting those high boost #'s running an 8 rib belt. Who are they?
AB most probably your belt is slipping. You don't need to see dust for it to slip. Try tightening and see if you get any higher peak boost. How many ribs is you belt? If you want to be pushing the higher boost #'s, I believe you will need a 10 rib belt.
Re: Aeromitive Pump-LOUD!
Yes they are loud, but like you said you can't really hear it when the car is running. I mounted mine on rubber bushings to keep a little of the noise down.
Ronnie,
I'm in NY where it's starting to get cold. I also run BFG's and once the weather cools the combination of cold air and roads means no traction. 1st & 2nd spin pretty easily, but things get hairy when 3rd starts spinning. Haven't tried the Kumhos yet, let us know what you think...
Hey Dimitrios,
Congrats on the SC, now just take it back to whoever installed it and have them check it out. Sounds like something wasn't re-connected after the install.
Re: Removing front cross member....any gottcha\'s?
Done it on Gen 1 & 2 and never had to remove AC line. I don't like dealing with gas, that's why I went with a SC.
I have to go home and measure my ceiling, but I was able to stack two of them by keeping the positioning the top viper so the opener just touched part of the windshield, but I had to detach the arm for the electric opener. The top viper wasn't going to be used for a while and it was winter so...
Haven't really smelled a difference, but expect it to be MUCH louder. I've been contemplating putting some hi flows on for a while because of the sound, but can't stand the thought of losing a few HP.
