For the NYC meet at 34th and First, plan on waiting on 1st Avenue along the right curb between 34th and 35th Streets.

For the return, here's the simplest path:
RIGHT turn out of parking lot

Continue on Ocean Parkway to end
(continue straight around traffic circle)
Ocean Parkway ends and makes sweeping right hander turning into Meadowbrook Parkway North.
Continue on Meadowbrook Parkway North to it's end.
At end stay to right and follow signs to LI Expressway West
Take Expressway straight to Midtown Tunnel
Take 34th Street West to Lincoln Tunnel

If you take 78 East, you have 2 options I guess, (if nobody else is in West NJ)..
take it all the way to 95 (possibly meet up with Keith & whoever else will be coming north)
OR
take it to the parkway north & then to Rt 3 East (meet up with myself & whoever else shows up at the Clifton Commons at 7:30) & then into the city

i think you should just all meet in the NYC 34th st and 1st ave meeting spot at 8am to makes things less complicated and confusing and also saves time. your call fellas. there is no traffic on sunday mornings whatso ever so traveling on the highways and through the city shouldnt be a problem and will be quick

Got a lot of guys coming from some distance away, what should be the time period to meet at Carvel on Deer Park Avenue? Between 8:30 and 9:30? Plan to roll out at like 9:30? Wouldn't want to miss someone who is runnng late but coming from far away.
