Will we see you in Texas for Viper Days?
I'll go first -
if I win - we'll be in Texas with the car. Who will drive it will be apoint of discussion. I suspect it'll be my car and I'll run it in Comp Coupe Unlimited.
Good luck to EVERYONE!
What do you want to do with your car?
Badass street car?
Some time at the dragstrip?
Autocross?
Open track road course events?
Car show winner?
King of Bling?
The answer to your question changes quite a bit depending on what your goals are.
Chuck,
So here's the problem - I want to win, but I am pretty frugal when it comes to this stuff... so I only bought 2. I know I am way behind you and Steve L in the odds. So, I'll still be rooting for you guys, too!
Ground wire mucking with TPS or idle air intake thingie. (Sorry - Tom does this stuff for me....)
My 1996 wouldn't stay running, had to keep throttle HIGH - even at stoplights. No check engine light. It was a ground wire. Not uncommon on non-metal bodied cars to have to add a ground...
vegas,
Archer Racing in Minnesota (John Archer and Jeff and Rhonda Johnson, owners) has everything you need.
I suspect you can get the monoballs can be pressed in to stock control arms - I've just bought the arm with them in there - so I am not sure - but based on the number of Comp Coupe...
You can't option a CC to get to $187,500 - so breaking even isn't exactly correct here.....
Sales are fine - and raffle tickets are holiday party prizes are pretty cool - maybe worthless, maybe priceless....
Quit hatin'
We used Intercity to transport a car we sold to Las Vegas. They were on time and they fully inspected the car for ANY damage before loading it. Nice guy, professional. High end show cars and bikes along for the ride with our car. Fully insured. However - they may have moved the car in and...
I REALLY like the all blue SRT - no stripes. I wish the stripes were tapered on the First Edition and followed the lines of the hood bulge. The solid blue actually looks lower and meaner - and I thought I was a stripes person!!!!
Check out a ton of pics at...
I am a huge fan of the camber shims. The eccentrics can move and are subject to changing your alignment if you bump a curb, etc. With the shims - if your alignment shop is any good - they should be able to work with them. They are incremented so that by changing a shim, you change the camber...
The Ambassador program that we are allowed to use mirrors the corporate busines partner program that I have used in the past (i.e. which cars are available and for how much - 1% back of invoice) Here's the new car listing:
"Jeep Commander. Chrysler 300C. Dodge Charger R/T, Dodge Magnum R/T and...
F355 -
Before you dig this hole any deeper - you need to step away from the keyboard. Chris has volunteered countless hours bringing his region back from the dead, posting hours and hours of entertaining and helpful writings and pictures here, served as a Viper ambassador to elderly gents...
Vipera -
You are headed in the right direction.... Let me give you an idea of what we're doing with the race car and there is no reason you couldn't do the exact same thing with a street car if you are serious - I know some of these same things are being done by the Viper Days Michelin...
How serious are you? What kind of trackside support do you have?
We've been racing for 3 years and are just now getting to the point where we are ready to start doing things like shock sweeps, etc. It's also taken that long to get the driver's but tcalibrated enoughthat he could feel these...
F355 and other SRT bashers...
SRT has heard you loud and clear- so hold your freaking horses.
But let's talk about this current edition. What other car company develops a special, VERY limited run of car specifically for members of the CLUB? SRT doesn't have to do this - they do it to give...
A couple of FYIs...
1. Take a vacuum or air blower and blow out any debris that may have fallen down around the spark plug. Little stones and sand seem to collect there - especially if you've been in an area that has loose gravel and have sticky tires....
2. Check the cylinder heat...
If your dealer told you that - I'd run as fast I as I could AWAY from that dealer.
They are lying. And if they'd lie about that - what will they lie about later?
Do you think Woodhouse, or Tator's, or Hendrick or anyone with 1/2 a clue would ever try to threaten or bully you into having parts...
Ingress and egress is tricky - the opening is pretty small. The seat is tight. The car is HOT - consistently over 120 degrees F in the cabin.
If has no seatbelts, so you'd have to use the 5 points. The seat is not adjustable.
It has very little ventilation - only a psuedo defroster and some...
