How about getting one of those giant sized insulated coffee cups, glue the bottom to the ash tray lid, stick it in the "hole", and write on the cup, "This is not a cup!"
Then you could put flowers in it and call it a vase. Kind of like VW. Classy!
Did anyone consider that he simply didn't notice you? I know that my sight isn't real keen and I am far from someone that turns up his nose, but many times I don't notice someone until they go by. I feel bad about it, but what can you do? I'll bet the guy is great, as all of us are, he just...
So that this horse is well beat, I e-mailed K&N and asked if an SRT10 specific filter would be made, when, and what number. Their somewhat indirect answer was:
Unfortunately, there is no listing for a replacement filter for your vehicle at this time. Please check back in 60-90 days...
Don't mean to be argumentative, but looking at the posted picture above, there seems to be obvious area for increased size (wouldn't we all like that). I'm sure this one works fine, but think I'll wait until K&N comes out with a specific application.
Ron, I noticed the same thing during break-in. However, after break-in, from about half throttle to full throttle is an entirely different story. It really comes alive at about 3/4 throttle. In my opinion, much more than my 01 GTS. Full throttle in 1st gear seems to always cause nearly...
Re: \"Smartglass\" weirdness on drivers side when closing door?
What I believe Nancy is saying, and you too --- the door learns to send the glass up and down as required. I have noticed that after the last time the glass went correctly, it has since done it every time. SO, it must be learning...
Re: First HRE wheels for SRT installed yesterday! How do I post my pic\'s?
Hey, Jim. Nice wheels. And nice lift. You and I have the same car on the same lift. (except for those magnificent wheels!)
So far I still have both. It won't hurt me greatly to get rid of the GTS. I didn't know what I'd feel until the SRT arrived. Once I got it and compared, there was not much to not like about the SRT.
BUT, maybe I'm only brave because the GTS is still in the garage.
What I did is follow the manual's recommendations to keep under 4000 RPMs until 500 miles. Then I nailed the crap out of it! This car is scary. It seems much stronger than my GTS. I've not been able to even get it to hook up in first gear. Second is very exciting. Actually, this car...
Well, not as good as Chris Marshall's, but good enough.
Had 503 miles at start of dyno. Only put on 3 miles "playing" with computer trying to floor it about 5-6 times, but too darn many cops around --- should have gotten a ticket once when I went by a cop during an "acceleration experiment."...
Well, guess I need to take mine in today. Need 73 more miles, and should be there this morning. This will give a good comparison on how color affects HP/Tq.
Chris, I have successfully used Mequiar's No. 2 polish many times. If you can't hear or feel a click when you run your fingernail across the scratch, Mequiar's will take it out without going through the clear. I've even taken out "clicking" scratches which didn't go through the clear.
Take a...
Ken, here it is in silver. Sorry I ain't as good as Chris with photos, but the sun wasn't right. I have the right to use that excuse! Will try again tomorrow when the sun is just right.
Re: \"Smartglass\" weirdness on drivers side when closing door?
I have observed the behavior of both windows for the past two weeks, and the passenger definitely drops further than the drivers side. And, I find it VERY hard to see the driver side drop, because it has noticeably LESS drop. If...
Re: \"Smartglass\" weirdness on drivers side when closing door?
Yep. Same thing with the side panels. They are loose, but there is a slight spring tension to them which may help a little.
Re: \"Smartglass\" weirdness on drivers side when closing door?
Wow. Thought I was the only one. I have a similar problem where the glass sometimes whacks the hard plastic front windshield pillar. The window isn't smart enough to pull down far enought to clear the pillar. I think it will...
Same here. Before seeing MINE in person at Woodhouse, I really wanted one, and thought it would be a knockout. But actually seeing in person, I must say the appreciation of what a fine car it is increased at least 200%. I was blown over.
