Bad Trunk Smell

Has anyone encountered a horrible smell in the trunk? Smells like epoxy concentrated to the 10th degree.

To ease the wife's 'emotions' after ME buying the car, I promised to take her to Branson and do some shopping (haven't actually shown her the small trunk limiting the shopping hehe). There is no way I can put anything in the trunk without the smell coming with it. Is there something I should clean? I've tried to air it out without success at this point. I have the trunk mats on order but do not have a ship date at this point.

I have the trunk mat, it doesn't help the smell. Mines a month old, and still ungodly smelling...

Smells like a new viper to me, luckily I havent put any clothes back there.
