Chris, that's too bad. Real sorry to hear it. Hang in there, the bad taste will leave soon enough.

SRT steering behavior. "taming the two-headed beast"

Re: SRT steering behavior. \"taming the two-headed beast\" Me and another guy (the famous Performin' Norman) took out my SRT today for a little driving. He drove the car on several different road surfaces and said he thought it wasn't worse that his 98GTS. In fact he was pretty happy with...

SRT steering behavior. "taming the two-headed beast"

Re: SRT steering behavior. \"taming the two-headed beast\" I agree. This unit is more jumpy than my GTS. When the roads get rutted, it's a handful. Need to work on my biceps!

    THE STING

Steve F., something that always "got" me is how some folks bragged about getting their car for invoice, or $500 under invoice, or whatever, from some local yocal dealership that may have never sold a Viper, or few if they did. And this is for a car that costs a ton, and the savings from the...

Has anyone driven with the top down???

Yeh, I failed to mention that I had the windows up all the time, since it was 45 DEGREES!!! That probably changed the wind tunnel a bit.

    Viper = Insanity

You ain't alone!! Lunatic #2 did exactly the same thing. In my case, wifie went to bed, I'm out there in the FREEZING elements, shivering, but determined. Thoroughly washed everything including the underside. No Zaino time though. See, Chris, you aren't wacko. ---- on second thought ----

Has anyone driven with the top down???

Not bad. Wasn't trying to perform a critical evaluation it at the time, but I didn't notice any uncomfortable winds or noises. I took mine on a quick ride at 70MPH and found that the wind mostly hits you from behind, but it's actually not that windy, in my opinion. I also found you can do...

    THE STING

Sorry to hear about your problems. I guess it all points to the advice given on this board about 10,000 times. Go to a big time Viper dealer (like Woodhouse and just a handful others) and you won't be disappointed. I am not trying to say "told you so", and am very sorry for you headache. Try...

    SRT/10 Musings - long

Same here on heat. Went for a 70 mile drive yesterday and there was no heat inside (actually needed to use the heater) and the sidesills were just warm.

SRT 10 owners: ease of oil change?

On the lift, the oil filter is right there in front of you. Easiest I have ever seen.

    lifts

I got two stacked on my Double Park now. I am very happy with it and have had zero problems. It's a four post lift.

    SRT-10 as a daily driver?

First hand experience --- I've driven 19 miles so far. Does that count?? I sure don't get tired as quickly as before -- it seems I can drive forever, like 5 miles or so. Gees, I hate this weather. Tomorrow, 17 degrees. Should be dry though. Clearbra is finished. I'm going out!!

Mr. Performin': I should be in the garage all day tomorrow working on the plastic encapsulation, IF the stinkin' clearbra arrives today. Come on down!

How many SRT's came with a polished gas pedal?

Re: How many SRT\'s came with a polished gas pedal? After being "goaded" into crawling up on my lift to peek at my pedals, lo and behold, ALL of my pedals are shiny!! Well, not really. Only the farthest right one (is that the brake??) is shiny. <FONT COLOR="#ff0000" SIZE="1"...

    Scissor Lifts

I have 2 Vipers stacked on a 4 post Double Park in my 9'-3" ceiling height garage. If you move the door up (I did both), you can get 53" of clearance under the top car.

Washing the SRT... your gonna want a compressor! I've got a paint question too!

Re: Washing the SRT... your gonna want a compressor! I\'ve got a paint question too! Use a leaf blower and it works great. Also, wash your car in the garage. Take a defrosted hose, hook it up, run it under the garage door, leave the door open one inch, and wash to your heart's content. I...
