I have been reading several reports from all you lucky SRT-10 owners, but I have not seen any comments on top down driving.

I was wondering how the windy the cabin is at highway speeds.

Not bad. Wasn't trying to perform a critical evaluation it at the time, but I didn't notice any uncomfortable winds or noises. I took mine on a quick ride at 70MPH and found that the wind mostly hits you from behind, but it's actually not that windy, in my opinion. I also found you can do some adjustment to the airflow by moving the visor up a little which keeps you in a "calm" pocket. Mostly, the noise I heard was just the fine roar of the powertrain.

Umm yeah, there was some time in TX where it was 70 degrees, and drove with the top down.

Its a convertible, nothing really shocking, I will say that over 100, it gets REALLY windy, I was afraid my glasses would get sucked off my head. I had to put my head down a bit.

No starnge noises, no change in "lift" on the car, performed great, just hard to hear anything tho since it was like a tornado!

I've never owned a convertibel before, so I didnt think of rolling the windows up, that might have made a difference, who knows...

Had a chance yesterday to take the car out- It was Dry and 48 degrees, so we put the top down and had a ball.
At 60 mph, you can easily speak in normal tones and be heard. Quite a bit different than my experiences in RT-10's.
The silver seems to be the ultimate stealth color. Not many folks identified with us!

The car had sat in cold storage. The transmission did not try to jump out of gear at any time (unlike the 96 GTS). I think they got this one fixed.

The dead pedal did get in the way once. I was wearing wide shoes (13 "C"'s) and I missed a shift.

The local dealer's employees really liked the car. Be careful out there- I ran into some wet pavement leaving the dealer....
and was easily able to redline the motor in first gear. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

Any idea if there is a speed rating with the top up? At what speed can you expect it to fly off?!

I have heard from a friend that one of the early test cars was run at close to 200 mph with the top closed and it stayed on with no problem. And no, I don't recommend that speed to anybody!

Sean-
I drove with my street shoes on. Bad mistake!!!
Usually I drive with my track shoes, and they are really narrow!!

Spacing of the pedals is the same!
