The rules where more designed around those other brands that you speak so highly of. You must also note that the rules state stock suspension with no traction aiding devices..which are common among Mustangs and F-bodies. The NMCA already has classes in place for these vehicles...

One thing I like about Gary A, he never backs down from a war! As for the SC car in the 10's at VOI 6, it was Doug in his own Viper. It was Red with White GTS Stripes..I think he still owns it.

Thanks for the question...NO strokers. Aftermarket forged pistons OK. Stock crankshaft and connecting rods. Vipers and Vettes are both plagued with the Hyperutectic Pistons and a piston change along with headwork, cam and the other usual "top end" mods are allowed.

Thats NOT correct about indexing. As an example, for this event's 10.90 class, a car can run QUICKER/FASTER than 10.90....as quick as 10.40 before being moved to the next quicker class. The breakout is set at .500 quicker than the index. Take a look at NHRA Competition Eliminator or...

To add to Jacks correct words, a correct Cone Filter system will outperform airboxes during actual acceleration tests. A fan in front of a dyno is a JOKE! I have tried every airbox, air filter, scoop and contraption that is available and I can tell you that my 9 SECOND VIPER uses CONE FILTERS...
I think you got em covered Roof, unless you want to count your boss (DLM). I saw him run a 10.09 @ about 150 mph using intercooled supercharger and nitrous.
