As you know, the security system (etc) draws constantly on the battery. I have seen my battery drain to the click-click point of the start solenoid when the car was not driven for two week. Use the stereo while waxing, and you could have a dead battery when through. For me the Battery...

$75,000 (Reserve Not Met)
Business plans have forced me to auction my black SRT-10 Dodge Viper. The car has 505 cubic inch engine and manual transmission. It is garage kept and has low miles. I have taken very good care of the car, but business requires that I auction it...
Tom:
They are only ~$75-85 (before discount) from Mopar. Why not order a shiny new set? Mine are black/silver. Mike (DSR207) has some rather interesting mats in his Mamba.

Tom:
I'm confused (now there's a shock). What is the status with your malfunctioning red Viper? Are you keeping it, selling it..?..having two SRT-10s would not be fair.

Tom:
Those are great photos. Love the trees. It is spring here in the U.S. as well. Great to see Bill Pemberton in the photos. Nice hat.
Curious, did it not come with a top, and why did you order it in primer? Look forward to seeing the final paint.
Was that your dad driving the car...
A trickle charger has two modes: charging and storage (or similar names dependent upon brand).
When it reaches full charge, it goes into storage mode and remains largely inactive until it senses a dip in the charge.
We had this Battery Tender (brand name) attached to the Harley from fall...
Here is the installation. Total cost (other than the Battery Tender which is from my now departed Harley) was $6.95 plus shipping.

Bill:
Originally, I attached the battery tender just as you described.
I made a more permanent attachment to the battery itself just for convenience when the car is in the garage, but either way works fine.

I tried to post a photo of my solution to this persistent (for me) battery drainage problem [but I managed to successfully correct MySql and have error messages that refer to my parentage).
In either case, a brief explanation is that I ordered an accessory cable from Battery Tender which I...
I am surprised the DVD XCopy, DVD Shrink, DVD2One, Clone DVD, DVD Ghost or Sly Soft's Any DVD would not copy it. All reduce dual layer DVDs (via compression)to a single layer disc. There are also utilities that identify the copy protection scheme so that you know what you are dealing with...
That's excellent advice, but could you not simply copy the DVD and archive the original? Arguably it is your right to do so even under DMCA. Personally, I rarely listen to CDs since the advent of satellite radio and/or the iPOD. Personal preference. So CD for the car need only play once disc.
Daniel:
I must have worded it incorrectly for several misunderstood.
What I was saying is that you do not need to replace the head unit in order to use satellite or iPOD. Several writers believed that if they were going to have satellite and/or iPOD, they must go to the RB1, and that is...
Hmmmm, but is the RB1 even needed for Sirius and iPOD? Does not the Chrysler interface for Sirius also fit with the stock radio, and does not the forthcoming iCruze from Monster Cable also not fit with the stock radio (or plans that it will)?
At one time, the RB1 was the only alternative, but...
Crockett:
One does not preclude the other. Both work for me.
Mike (DSR207): You may not have gotten my message asking which vendors sold you the mats and pedals for your car.
Hope all is well, and thanks again.

I appreciate the responses and input. I was most interested to know who had self-installed vs. dealer installed, and I neglected to ask how many changed amplifier or added a CD changer at the time.
I was surprised to learn of a one hour install having looked at Daniel's (FinalGTS) instructions...
For those of you with an RB1:
a. How much did you pay?
b. If you did a self-install, how long did it take?
c. If you had a dealer install, what was the cost?
d. Do you plan on adding Sirius?
e. Do you plan on adding Monster Cable's iCruze (for iPOD)?
Thanks in advance.

The yellow things falling from the skies....canaries?
I did several Google searches for Clear and Bra and Atlanta
They keep sending me to a pet store (I guess) called Cheetah III Lounge.
So I am heading down there right now...
Crockett:
Just read this at a forum:
"Llumar is a new product, where as the 3M film has been out for a while. 3M is suppose to come out with a new film that will compete with the Llumar film.
3M has been the king for a while in that it is tough and has a clear coating that makes the film...

Excellent point. (BTW: I already own an unused 3.07 ring and pinion) If I find the 3.55 not to my liking once/if S/C is installed, then I can simply switch back, and it is true, this is not an expensive undertaking. Unfortunately, my mechanic is not a "drop off on the way to work"...
We got a bit off-track from the original question.
1. I already drive a 3.55 equipped car
2. I was actually asking whether those SRT-10 owners with S/C and 3.55 were comfortable with that decision.
I doubt that my mechanic has done more than 3-5 such installations. There would unlikely be much of a market for S/C Vipers in Atlanta...although you would not get much wheel hop sitting in the parking lot that they call I-285.
Crockett's compromise of 3.33 makes a great deal of sense, and it...
