Parking Brake button rattles

Mine does as well at certain RPM ranges. I just bump it when it happens, and the buzz/rattle goes away.

    tiny scratches in paint

Somewhere in the dark recesses of Tony's archives are instructions on how to rid yourself of those spiderwebs. If I remember right, it involved using some special type of towel for the wipe-down. Anyone who is up on their Zainology, please respond. When the sun comes out in June, I'll be very...

Corsa 3" Cat back stainless steel exhaust

Re: Corsa 3\" Cat back stainless steel exhaust How soon will it be available? How much will it cost? What is the noise level (dbA) inside the cabin at 2500 (4th gear) for each exhaust system?

Viper SHIMMERS...They glow in the dark!!!!

Yep- that was Sean. I am still toying with the idea of a ChromaLume striping. If so, I will have the emblems painted on as well. Few people can actually read those black-on-black emblems, so they have to ask me "What kinda car izzat?" Your emblems aren't stock anyhow- the bumper marks are...

I got the shaft, and I like it

I have a mostly-stock GTS with the orange (cognac) interior, which I love. Except for one thing- the shift knob is too tall. It feels like a shifter in a T-bucket. The common solution is an MGW knob, but I don't like the idea of replacing ny shift knob with something heavier in black. (Gothic...

Viper SHIMMERS...They glow in the dark!!!!

I rather like the idea of flush lettering. On my black GTS, the Zaino builds up in the crevices around the lettering. This makes it a Royal Pain when polishing my snake. If I was going to trade out my Viper emblems for anything, the replacement should solve that problem. If I get mine striped...

    viper staorage

I may get flamed for this, but I haven't had seen flatspots from parking since radial tires were introduced. (no, I'm not that old, my cars are) I leave cars parked for months, and never get flat spots. IMHO, no carpet scraps are needed. Parquet floors are just fine. OTOH, I had a '48 Chrysler...

What does everyone do for a living?

Systems Programmer. (I write operating systems & device drivers) My current title is "Software Development Engineer". As most of us know, titles come cheap... It means I'm a geek like many others in the VCA. I began my life as an aspiring musician who designed his own amps because it was...

Edmunds - What woosies! E-mail 'em and give them some grief!

Re: Edmunds - What woosies! E-mail \'em and give them some grief! I noticed a number of things about this article. 1. The photo was of a 2001 GTS, while the most recent test was of a '97 GTS. 2. It was stated as "an opinion". OK, they can have theirs, and I have mine. Obviously, they are...

What happened with the TSBs list?

Tony- You were looking into the idea of an online list of TSBs. What has happened with that? Has DCX killed it for all the wrong reasons, or did you and Jay just get swamped (again)? Inquiring minds want to know.

Question, Gen 3 and GTS vs RT10

What do you mean by When you buy a new car, you are automatically enrolled...., JonB? I bought mine brand new, (Jan 5th, 2000) and I have finally given up on that "free membership". It aint gonna happen. I have been patiently waiting (and shirttailing) since I bought the beast- to no avail. I...

How many of you bought NEW?

I bought new as well. Got mine from Eric Lee who treated me very nicely. I have enjoyed this car immensely. Too bad winter is here and the Beast is under the covers for a long winter's nap. I think mine had about 12 miles on it when I got it. As the owner/victim of Dodge's quality control...

H.I.D. Xenon lamps versus Halogen bulbs, pictures

Hey Sean- How many bulbs are included with this conversion kit? High/lows/fogs? If this includes at least the highs & lows, put me down as interested.

How about a section listing TSBs?

Perhaps the content should be kept on the old board, since these would age right off rather quickly here. I would like to see a full list of all TSBs arranged by model year. Clicking on each should give the full text, BOM & drawings for each TSB. I am tired of my dealer denying TSBs exist. Put...

    Holden to be ousted Friday

Take heart, for all is not lost. I am willing to give the Germans a chance. The rumored new COO is from AMG, so he obviously understand the "big picture" of producing low volume high performance "image" cars. Take a look at http://www.msnbc.com/news/490817.asp?0nm=-14b for more information.

NSX owners suggest not buying a Viper

Get the snake! You won't regret it. I find the NSX to be a higher performance (and cuter) version of my Legend. The NSX is a fine touring car, but doesn't have brute power or handling of the Viper. After the trip up the coast in the Viper, you will be more road-weary than...

    Rattles

I have one rattle- the wiring I added for my V1. After removing the dash knee pads and taping the wires to the metal framework, that went away. Easily the most solid American vehicle I've ever owned. (My 99 F150 is now being recalled again)

    Should I oil my K & Ns?

I started to clean out my tool shed and discovered an old spray can of K & N air cleaner oil left over from a previous project car. It reminded me that I just dropped in my paper K&Ns, sans oil. What is the consensus on that- oil or not?

Police are stalking me... Is that Legal?

I knew this would happen as soon as I brought home my snake, so I took pre-emptive action. I hunted down the local DARE officer and introduced myself, offering to loan him the car for DARE events. I attended several local cruising nights and spent way too much time talking with the officers on...

Total cost of owning the car

If you really feel that urge, and it just won't go away... Go talk to all the Dodge dealers near you. GTSW Concept

    "Collonny Leather"

Re: \"Collonny Leather\" Light tan may not be the best description. It is closer to "basket ball brown". Besides smelling great, it does not have the perforations in the seat's center panels. It's a little more slippery, and I find myself sliding down in the seat a bit on long trips.
