Should I buy a track car?
Newt, I wish I could have come to the finals too but I could not get off work. I am working Thursday also or I would love to join you. I will be going to Bobby Archer's driving clinic on Dec 10th if you can make it. I'm glad I'm not the only one with this dilemma. Misery does love company...- Doc.

Should I buy a track car?
Okay I need advise from all the track rats. I have a '96 B/W GTS (see sig below for mods) and I am wanting to do Viper Days for 2004. I can make 4-5 events next year but time constraints will probably keep me from doing more than that. I have only been to one track event so far but I'm hooked...- Doc.

1996 18 inch wheels?
Hey Guys, Just got off the phone with John Purner. The cost of a blank of aluminum for the rear wheels is 1442.00. Then a program has to be written to cut the wheels on a machine. The machine time is about 600.00 dollars a wheel. As you can see the costs are getting pretty steep to have...- Doc.

Chuck, Thanks for the input. I just found out that Colorado Custom will not make a wheel wider than 12 inches so they are out of the game plan. I'll see what Mr. purner has to say. Doc- Doc.

1996 18 inch wheels?
I'm thinking about doing a big brake kit, but I love the wheels on my '96 GTS and hate to loose the factory look. I spoke to Colorado Custom Wheels about making a set of 18 inch wheels that look like my stockers. I was quoted approximately 750.00 per front and 800.00 per rear. The only catch...- Doc.

Viper Days Pictures from Texas
Fiorano, I believe that is Tommy Archer's transam car. It is not a Viper. It has a V8 engine, and I don't think any part of it is from a Viper. It is very cool and the body is made to look like a Viper. Doc- Doc.

how much are they worth?
Snakbit, I don't know about the Viper, but I don't think you will get the prowler in the 20's. Last year I sold my 2000 black prowler with 2400 miles on it for 30,000 and it sold within 4 hours of posting the ad. I have been out of the prowler market for awhile but I don't think they have...- Doc.

Viper Joe, I lived in Denver during my residency years and the FJ 40 was my daily driver. It doesn't see much action these days but it has so much sentimental value that there will always be a spot for it in my garage.
