Thanks guys for the response. Reaffirms what I've been carefully researching. Nothing worse than getting halfway through a project you think should work and then.....
I'm debating on getting some knuckles and doing the rear mounting ear mod on a work bench instead of the car itself. This way...
I've done just about every search I can possibly think of. Found Dave's and Tom's numerous discussions on brake upgrades. I've talked with Steve at VipAir (thanks Steve for the info) and even looked at StopTech patterns for 13-inch rotors. While it seems plausible, has anyone actually taken a...
I've only been in my Viper for a few months now, but I sincerely doubt the exterior design resemblance of a Gen II is hurting the Gen V. Everywhere I take my Gen II, turns heads and gets rave comments.
I would love to get into a Gen V someday. Viper808 and Jetstar have me sold already. Right...
Here's the big difference.
People on the street seeing a mustang: "A mustang....." {assuming they even notice.}
People on the street seeing a Viper: "Look! A Viper!"
'Nuff said.
I have been sifting through all of the drama, but I think I'm too new to really understand what the heck is going on. I'm hoping for some more info soon. Possible meetup in the near future to discuss what's up?
While not a dealer, Wayne Garner aka Jetstar has a garage that works on Vipers. Great guy.
Our chapter recently had a meeting at Arrigo Dodge/SRT. Contact Wayne and our President, David Ivler, for more info on them.
My past experience years ago with Napleton left my Jeep Grand Cherokee...
Not to sound like a broken record........but the general consensus from numerous forum searches seems to be:
1. Implement Dave's BBK or Tom's brake
2. Do not use drilled rotors unless you only plan on cruising (and even then not highly recommended)
3. Hawk HPS for street driving with little...
Just noticed this currently active thread discussing chroming.

CalChrome seems to get a good number of votes from searching.
As a fellow new member I have the same question.
So on a whim, a quick search yielded:

I just bought a 96 B/W GTS about 8 weeks ago so here is what I think on that short sample time:
Depends where you live and definition of hot. It can get warm, but that is what they make windows/convertibles for or A/C. Worst case is keep the top off and drive around in a t-shirt and shorts...
Thanks Bob for the tip. Dave has my email. Unfortunately I can't make the next event at Arrigo Dodge coming up this weekend. I'll have to take a rain check for another day.

It was great meeting you and your wife too. My wife is feeling much better about the Viper now. Next time you head back over this way, just let us know.
Hey all,
Since joining, I have found the forums to be a treasure trove of information. I had meant to post some more pictures of my B/W, but have instead found myself getting caught up on maintenance the prior owner kind of "neglected". I'll get some up after the upcoming Disney Dream Cars...
Just registered for display only. Will get the B/W as ready as possible. Maybe next year after some time to clean up the front faschia, I'll enter the contest.
Greetings all.
I just purchased a 96 B/W GTS (already posted in Gen I/II forum) and recently joined the VCA. I live in Jupiter, FL so if there are any events going on, I would love to possibly meetup on a weekend cruise sometime.

Greetings all.
I just purchased a 96 B/W GTS (already posted in Gen I/II forum) and recently joined the VCA. I live in Jupiter, FL and am curious of any ongoing meetups in the area.
I know that Abacoa in Jupiter just recently canceled their monthly car cruise, so where else do you all...
