    I was taking off my center panel to condition the leather boot around the gear shift lever and I looked down and noticed a small tear in the rubber boot around the shifter arm where it enters the tranny. There was no oil or anything untoward-appearing (is this a word?), but is this a big deal...

    F$%^ing Barracuda filter prohibits me. There used to be a gov't/DMV site that allowed you to run free checks. Someone here can help you out. Also, where is the car? A lot of members here, if local to the car, will go check it out for you. Good luck.

    MGW shifter question

    I bought the MGW shorty shifter and bezel from MGW (before I knew Mark). It is much nicer than stock, and I haven't really noticed the shifting needing anymore effort.
