Keep asking the questions terminator. It's good that we are all blessed with differnet talents; some doctors, some lawyers, some plumbers, etc, etc. We all have something to contribute to the forum. Some just don't understand that basic concept.
I just pinned my 96 GTS last week using Roe Racing's kit with provided drill bit guide tool, bolts, pins and drill bit (which seemed to be just a high speed bit). Per their instuctions I drilled the two holes without lube. Using a Makita right angle drill motor I didn't have to raise the...
After purchasing new PS2's for my '96 I took it out for a test drive. The car felt a bit squirrely at 50-60 mph and got progressively worse as, well, I exceeded the speed limit a bit. Downright scary in fact. I found one rear tire inflated to 60 psi; this from a reputable tire dealer.
Today I replaced a 12 year old 60 month Mopar battery with a Sears Diehard. It was in my '93 and was on a $19.95 trickle charger during idle time purchased from Wal-Mart

I did the crackle test as Tom suggested and indeed heard the crackle "as the water boiled off."
The last timing cover I took off was back in the 60's. It was a Chevy 289 and had oil in it, not water. So, there is water...
I just took my 96 out for the second time this year. I pulled up to a stop and noticed the fans came on and looked at the temp gauge only to see that it was pegged right.
When I accelerated the temp came back down to 200 degrees so I thought I had a low water issue. Upon checking the level...
Is this of the splitter template I sent you? If so, just cut it out and trace around it as Dave said. Either tape it to your splitter material or use repositionable spray adhesive such as 3M. If you ruin it just let me know and I'll send you another.
One more!. This shows the slots in the splitter for the channel brackets. Inside the white facia are the 2 1/2" aluminum washers for back-up strength. 3/4" diameter spacer washers are inserted into the slots to keep the facia from being sucked into the slots when the brackets are tightened.
The splitter is indeed slotted. The picture showing the bracket also shows two plastic washers that are inserted into the slots of the splitter so that, when tightened, the soft facia isn't sucked into the slots of the splitter.
