    Tin foil removal?

    After fitting my belangers it seemed a shame to cover them up ,so I made up an aluminum shield for the air intake box, and fastened it to the box via insulators, looks OE. No heat problems and plug wires get hot but not too bad.

    1. Not that important, as long as CO stays below 1.5 at tickover 2. Not worried about traction control. 3. Would prefer intake to look original colour..Red wrinkle finish and blower polished or even left 'dull' alloy 4. 99 GTS UK spec...only 2 O2 sensors.

    One point worth mentioning, Gasoline while great for removing tar does I believe contain benzine which is a carcinogen.

    Doesn't sound like much but I don't really know. The slop that appears to be in the drivetrain seems to be an accumulation of clearance in all the splines etc from the gearbox back.

    Like the colour Tony, skunks are the best! Replace the cats with hi-flo ...avoid the smell, replace the system with borla or belanger...get great sound. Std cat does a lot of silencing, in sill silencers look very restrictive, check inside them.

    Last summer I removed the lacquer from my GTS gas cap (it was badly corroded) and polished it. It looks great just after its polished but I've never seen anything corrode so fast in the rain, it almost grows a white beard in a few days. I'm reluctant to change the diff ratio just to do this since that will also lower 1st gear which I kind of like the way it is.
