Guess I Found my AC Problem
I just had a brand new OEM compressor put in my '97 GTS, (it was leaking at the pulley area). I spent $300 at the dealership for the labor and vac and recharge. Worked great for one day then found out afterward the hose to the condenser was also leaking, have yet to replace it as the dealer...- aacrewchief

Finally Brought home my dream car

Gen 1 - Start Up Question
Yes the clutch pedal must be fully depressed but the car doesn't have to be in neutral, (though it wouldn't be wise to start it in gear with just the clutch pedal depressed). PS steering woes - not ps pulley
It's pretty rare for PS racks to just "go out", though it can happen. How many miles are on the car? It sounds to me like he provided you with a PS pump receipt, but never ACTUALLY replaced the pump. My guess would be the pump is fried, not the rack, unless the car has 100k plus miles on it...- aacrewchief

Yep, that sounds just like what I did on another car of mine, which was the fix for a PS pump problem it had when I bought it. The same procedure will work on just about any car with power steering. :)- aacrewchief

That sounds like the method you would use to flush and refill the system, you shouldnt need to do all of that unless you think your system is contaminated. I don't remember the EXACT procedure, just do a google search for bleeding a PS pump system, it's pretty much the same procedure for all cars.
