Is the issue with the head gaskets? As I recall the problem that I was expecting was the cylinder liners slipping. The local dealer (Hilo, HI) diagnosed the problem. Chrysler had the engine sent (AIR FREIGHT!)
to Arrow for a complete repair/rebuild. I had that done just prior to my extended...
My original 1994 top was damaged while being transported. Insurance company paid to replace it. I purchased one from a company in Florida (Hot Cars ?)
I just tried to install the top, but it's different than the original in that there are no thumb screws to hold the forward end of the side bars...
Both sides are cracked with pieces falling off. Mr. Tator told me these are no longer available new. Does anyone have a source of aftermarket covers or maybe 3D printer replacements ?
I've been out of the loop for a while. What is a good choice and source for a new set of wheels and tires for my car. 18's I guess, and wheels that will last a while without the blistering of the chrome plated aluminum wheels. All would have to be shipped to Hawaii, but I can handle the freight...
Re: Stock Gen 1 exhaust pic\'s
Thanks guys, I think the right side must be stock, but mine
is really rusted, I suspect that's why the left side was
changed. But, the left side has a smaller diameter muffler
and sure fits behind the rocker cover better.
Thanks Again
Stock Gen 1 exhaust pic\'s
I have just replaced my rockers covers and noticed that my left side
cat/muffler set up is not the same as the right side. Does anyone have
a picture of the stock set up for a 94 Gen 1 ? I searched the archives
but only found pic's of modified systems.
Thanks, Robert
I wish I could get me gen 1 to run that hot ! I replaced the radiator earlier
this year and now it runs about 180-185. It may sound strange, but we do get some cold and wet nights here, and it would be nice to enjoy the heater once
in a while. It was running up in the normal range with the...
I just had a new radiator installed on my car. It seems to be running a little cooler as might be expected. The other night I was coming back from the other side of the island and up-country it started getting kinda chilly. I turned on
the heater, but could not get any heat. I was able to detect...
Whew, you guys.....anybody that has worked with automobiles long enough has run into Buick and Ford engines that have eroded aluminum timing chain covers or intake manifolds. This was when most if not all domestic engines were made of cast iron and alternators or generators were producing...
Where\'s the best place to take a leak ?
Does anyone know if the radiator is covered under the Chrysler extended
warranty ? It's not damaged, just rotting away and starting to leak.
If not, what are the options for replacing it with a new one ?
Thanks
Just got my new jack today, but I guess I have not been able to purge all the air out of it, so it does not work.
Can anyone tell me the secret ? Harbor Freight can't. One tech says to use
the vented plug, next guy says to use the solid plug, but nothing seems to
make any difference.
Thanks
I was able to add the extra ponies to my '94, by
using stripes from a Gen II car. They fit perfectly
with out modification, unlike so many other upgrades.
Re: habor frieght tools low profile jacks!! $129.00 right now! Wow!
I just called and ordered one for myself. However, I
was also told that they are out of stock on these. They
said they would start shipping them in February, but will
honor the $99 price if you order now.
