I was also considering a clear bra, but will it look as good as properly polished bare paint?
I might give Dr Colorchip a try, I just hope I don't make it look worse.

When I bought the car there were one or two chips, now there are 3 or 4. I do plan to continue to drive the car, but I also want to keep it looking as good as possible.
Is it better to deal with them a few at a time, or wait til there are a dozen and have them all fixed at once?

In a recent Viper magazine, they featured a Viper that had an auto conversion. I'm sure it wasn't cheap, but Gen 3 vipers are pretty inexpensive now.
I have no idea what Dodge is planning for the Gen 5, but I'd be very surprised to see an auto.

I really like the front end, but the back is ugly, and the half windows make it look like a kit car.
I think a better option if you want Viper performance and Italian styling is to buy both a Viper and Ferrari.

The interior guy did suggest making the shift boot and ebrake boot tan, but I prefered that it stay black. I think recovering the steering wheel would have been nice, but I would have wanted to keep it black and the cost would have been about $400. At some point you just need to say no to...
Thanks for all the kind words!
The dash was custom. The stock radio is shorter and wider than a double DIN unit. They needed to both the the dash panel for height, and fill the gap is the sides. I don't know the process, but and good Stereo shop can usually do that fabrication. Then they...
As far as I know the writing and producers are the same for both shows. The only difference is the personality the the hosts provide. If you watch some older UK Top Gear episodes, it wasn't so hot. It was more like what you would expect from UK TV.
What I like about the UK show is that even...
I saw millions of dollars worth of Ferrari GTOs at Laguna Seca over the weekend. It would be a tragedy if those cars were sitting in some rich guy's garage just rotting away. It's far better for the rich guys to pay a former race car driver to display them properly for the rest us us to see...
The JVC model NT3HDT has been discontinued, but was about $800. It's really good. Very fast and the navigation is great. The mic came with the JVC unit and yes, it's for hands free. I assume that the newer JVC models work as well. There are tons of reviews for this unit online. My iPhone...
Thanks for all the kind words. Normally people don't like to talk about money, but the interior was about $11,000. It's a lot to spend, but as the third owner I got the car pretty cheaply so the grand total isn't bad. It's nice to have the elegance of an Aston Martin and the raw power of a...
I took a few teaser pics and posted them in this thread http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/647177-A-few-pics-of-the-new-interior?p=2989498&mode=linear#post2989498
Thank you all for the kind words!
The work was completed a couple weeks ago and I finally had some time to take some pictures...
I went ahead and had them screw it to the steering wheel. At first I wasn't too keen on drilling holes in the car, but now I've decided as long as the holes are for something that will make me enjoy the car more and looks OEM, then I can live with them.
Yesterday we drove from LA to Monterey...
I think that might be the problem. The windows almost never open when I open and close the door. I did the recalibration thing and it worked for a short time, but now it seems that 1 out of 5 times the glass just slams into the frame.
I assume reflashing the BCM is a dealer thing?

I don't know all the scenarios, but when turn the car, get out and close the door, the driver door locks, but the passenger door remains unlocked.
What could cause this? I assume it has something to do with the fact that I had the door panels recovered. Could a loose wire cause the problem...
I'm not sure of the exact location of the noise, but you've given me some great ideas. Hopefully I'll get it sorted out by fall when top-up weather returns.

They are very proud of the fact that "Pimp My Ride" is shot there. I made it clear to them that I didn't want may car to look like anything from that show ;)
OK, it's not a bell, but the rattle does sound a bit like a bell.
At certain speeds a vibration will cause a rattle in the convertible top latch. Do you have any idea what need to be tightened in it?
thanks,
~Jay
Thanks, I had them install it as it is in the picture, it works out very well there. There is plenty of room and doesn't interfere with driving at all.
I drove for about 3 hours today and I absolutely love having cruise control! The new seat upholstery also made the drive a joy. It was a ton...
I have a shop installing the system right now as I type this, but there doesn't seem to be a good place to mount the remote. In the picture on the snakeoyl web site it shows it mounted to the steering wheel, but even in that picture it looks like it's in the way.
Where is the best, most...
No one is willing to do the dash because of the air bag. I decided that the steering wheel is already the color I want, so to spend what it cost to only make it slightly better wasn't worth it. Same for the shifter.
I'll ask your, and anyone elses' opinion- Should the brake, and shift boot...
