    guys, it's totally not motion related. It'll skip while the engine is off. Pink Floyd really gives it fits.

    Motor Week PBS, San Fran Channel 9, 6am(!) on 9/7 Season Premiere, Episode was titled "Honda Accord" I have an Ultimate TV setup with direct TV, so I automatically record anything with "viper" in the name or description--this came up! Boy was I happy!

    Re: I\'m mad...I got smoked Don't feel too bad. (I'm sure you don't!) 6.0's are just plain faster than vipers. Now the SRT, on the other hand....I'm betting the SRT will hand the 6.0 a defeat in all categories (except top speed!) this year.

    Gear Debate

    The competition coupe will have 3.07's with ALL the same gear ratios for primary drives. DC does not have to meet any emmisions/gas guzzler goals for the comp coupe. It's logical to assume that DC thinks 3.07's are the correct, best gear for tracking the car. Just one more data point.

    Who wants a quiet exhaust?

    Let's all imagine what the world would be like if EVERYONE drove around with really loud exhausts (think of the loudest Harley you've heard ride by) &lt;shudder&gt; I'm thankful that 99% of exhausts are NOT loud, especially living on crow canyon road.

    Does the SRT come with this?

    Cruise control is not a softee item. It would really be nice. Does it make you a more of a man to hold your foot on the accelerator while mindlessly commuting down a freeway?

    JMguire said he started in 4th! 3rd would have been a much better choice at that 60mph start speed. Also, it helps to slip the clutch, spin up the engine, and drop the clutch to begin the run--that gives you an instant momentum jump. He hindered himself, and yet stayed with the porsche...

    I think quiet exhaust makes a car sound more efficient and better built. In the future the fastest street cars will be those that aren't wasting energy making noise, i.e. electrical cars. Quiet exhausts? I, for one, like them.

    You say you want to race an ultima around a road course? Why do you think 800 HP will win that race for you? Your "partner" could put a volkswagen engine in his ultima and beat you if you don't know how to drive a road course. Worse, you put 600, 800 HP in your SRT and start trying to compete...
