We got all our stuff from the St. Ignace car show people in the mail a couple days ago. Same kind of packet we've gotten from attending in the past....might take a few days longer to cross the pond.

I don't believe I have ever driven around town / local roads without mashing my right foot to the floor several times during the cruise. It's kind of a tradition to spin the tires up a little as soon I get to the highway we're close to. The car wash guy there questions me when I don't ;)
That...
There is no dyno within several hundred miles of here so I really have no idea of what the 2000 car is now. I had it dynoed in Detroit in 5/03 -- exhaust only-- and it was 438HP/481TQ.
The 2001 car came with one VEC card and a dyno sheet. It showed 554HP/586TQ. Pretty decent for a 5 pounder...
We have two 5 pound Roe cars. One a 2000, the other a 2001. The 2000 Roe was installed and tuned by me in 5/06. The 2001 tuned by me after we bought it in 8/06. The dyno tune the 01 car came with was not right. I am completely satisfied with the power. Have no desire to go further. It's not that...
If I run my mouse over the 40 cars, shown as a total in that column...........a window pops up on my computer that shows the breakdown. Maybe there's an active x thing or something you need to be able to see it. I knew the answer anyway as we have one of the 51 Bumblebee ACRs made in 2001.
All...
There was reported snow falling on both ends of the UP yesterday morning. I've yet to cut the grass.......but we got over 1800 Viper miles under the belt so far.
Putting the IAT sensor in the intake tube probably does give a slightly more accurate reading of air temp just before entering the intake/blower. However; unless you have a modified airbox which is pulling air from the NACA duct only............you're still gulping in the hotter air from the...
I've used both the sheets and hydrogen peroxide the last many years. No problems at all. The sheets do make a little mess. The peroxide is easier to use, although the sheets cover a bigger area and are quicker to do a large area. If there are just a few bugs, I'll either use the peroxide or just...
That is interesting about the O2 placement and does seem odd. I'm glad my cars like the OEM O2s in the right place, especially with the blower.
Yes, even in the garage, the AIT log temps are considerably lower. It definitely proves the theory about the massive amount of engine heat...
Ken,
Our 2001 car has the same exhaust set up as yours. 5 pound/no w/m. When I upgraded the 2002 VEC (2001 car) to be able to log, I immediately noticed much higher IAT temps in the logs than the 2000 car. I couldn't figure it out for quite a while. Then it hit me -- I have a Vipair on the...
So, just to be clear, the stock 02 sensors, and the wideband sensor should both be in the collector area of the header? YES
My car never set a code with the belangers until I installed the S/C. Then it started setting P0138. I installed the 02 simms and that code hasn't reoccurred. I have...
You guys need to get out more! Over the last 80,000 miles, our car has seen LOTS of rain, mixed in with some sleet and snow. We've been caught in some nasty snow storms early in the year....white out sort of thing. I've autocrossed in rain several times and once in a driving rain at 46 degrees...
The Belanger fix for MILs with cast piston cars was to put a bung in the 3rd tube. From what I gather now, they may not even have an optional bung welded in where it belongs.
It was a band aid solution ... and not the right one. I had one of the early Belanger cast piston/different cam cars and...
We echo all of the above. A great time was had by all!! Thanks again for everything Bill & Diane. :headbang:
Nothing like a little 1650 mile jaunt to start the season. :drive:

I agree somewhat with the mail order comment, but unless you're taking the car to Sean, or other good tuner guy, who can knowingly monkey with spark as well....the best way to tune AFR is with 'on the road' log runs. ....Just going to the local dyno to tune AFR is not real world running and...
Seems low. You might want to check the sensor settings in the log settings area. My boost signal is set at MPX_US_3.
My 5 pounder with the same set up -- no W/M -- sees 7+ with the boost creep......just looking quick at a couple logs. The roller rockers make it breathe a little better...
The technolgy involved to make these things is minimal at best. I've got 3 Black & Decker tenders that I paid $12 or $13 bucks each for. They have the option of 1 or 2 amp charge rates. They've been working fine the last 3 yrs or so. Had DY posted this before I got what I have, I would have...
McMaster Carr.......the one stop shop for almost anything under the sun. I would never have thought of looking there although when I worked, that book was always on the shelf and ready to go. Hope it works out.
Steve
Well, I guess you can learn something new every day. Thanks for the link. IMO, there is no reason for this extreme.........a puke can for venting PS fluid at $200. The $20 dollar vent tube does the trick just fine......the main purpose of which is to keep the cap from turning off by itself. In...
Dave,
Maybe we're talking about 2 different things. I thought oil puke cans were for venting motor oil into a can instead of the intake under hard cornering/braking. The PS vent cap mod is a $20 dollar chrome tube which keeps the cap from turning off.....as they are prone to do (mine came off...
The puke can won't fix the PS cap problem. You need this for that:
HipoEngineering.COM This can be bought from vendors on this site as well. Craig is a VCA member.
As a side note. I've never had an issue with any over heated wires from using the stock metal shields and no boots. I use stock...
I don't really know. Big time heat there, especially with cats. The other thing is, you would be nicking this stuff up too. While it would be protecting the expensive sill plate, it would start to look like hell itself from all the scuff marks.
I worry MUCH more about the sill plate than I do...
