2006 Dodge Viper Coupe dead battery/security sytem reset

It's not that complex in the later Gen Vipers. Once the fuel system serviced and the engine has been fogged, rotated by hand, etc...and, it is deemed safe to attempt a start ( by experienced, reliable mechanic), hook up the battery in the Viiper and try the unlock button the fobs and you...

1995 Viper New Battery - starts fir a few seconds and dies!

As I just finished posting on another forum, give me a call. 317 402 9013. Hopefully, it is due to the alarm system...and, not a dying fuel pump. The factory published alarm reset should only take a few minutes with a little luck.

Oil pressure rise time at start

Sorry that I cannot supply a stop watch answer...but, my impression is 2-3 seconds for both Gen III and IV. Since I do not start these cars without the ability to do a full drive cycle, I will have to wait for Spring to give a more accurate answer. Hopefully, someone is a warmer climate will...

Oil pressure rise time at start

Our stock 03 does not take that long to register oil pressure upon startup...whether using the old 10W-30 Mobil 1 or the newer factory fill (2005) Mobil 1 0W-40. I am not in the habit of driving (therefore not starting) Vipers in ambient temps below 50°F...which posdibly could affect your...

    Help from S-INDY if possible

Hi, Paul...will be happy to speak with you anytime. Please realize that I am not a mechanic, technician, or engineer. I am just a hobbyist trying to keep our Vipers in good shape. I am very fortunate in that several top notch Viper Techs have shared a considerable amount of info with me over the...

    Battery maintainer/tender?

I really don't have an opinion as I have not tried one. I will also add that I do use surge protectors on all units...BUT, if lightning is anticipated, I physically unplug them from the wall sockets. Also, I do not use units that automatically apply an amperage load (for desulfanation) when I...

    Battery maintainer/tender?

    Yes...all single units.

    Battery maintainer/tender?

Well, I am sure you will get many opinions on this. I use Deltran Battery Tender Plus units on all of our Vipers...and, have been doing so since 1998...accumulating just under 1.25 million Viper-tender hours. I like these units as they are quite dependable and have a good safety record. An old...

    Alarm System Gen 1 Viper

If you like, give me a call sometime when you have a few minutes and I will discuss the fob, the alarm, and the potential issues..along with "the cure". 317-402-9013 In the meantime, don't worry...and, if possible, keep your Viper on a battery tender.

Not that I recall...though I have not looked for said port.

XM Radio in all Gen 4 cars?

Well, we have 2 Gen IV's ...both without nav systems (per advice of dealer based on amount of malfunctions they saw)...neither have satellite radio.
