Have to agree with Steve. I bought an 01 gts for 28500. At first it looked great. When all repairs were made and it suited me. (I'm very picky). I had close to 45000 in it.
I live in Bowling Green (home of the vette), and this auction has lots of other cars in it. http://www.hartlandauctions.com/Cars_at_Auction/Cars_at_Auction.html
Check out their site. I figured with the auction being here in town, I would give it a shot. If it doesn't bring reserve I will list it...
My 2001 gts is going up for auction on 7-13/7-14. Details can be found at the national corvette museum website. If you need further information feel free to pm me. Hope this is the proper place to post this topic. If the car does not bring reserve, I will be listing it in the classifieds.
Another option (after you remedy some existing issues) would be installing a roe fan kit. It really helped mine with temperature rise in stalled traffic with the A/C on and hotter weather.
I got to drive this car when Baxter stopped by in bowling green, ky. They brought it in for the challenger festival. I am guilty of hating on the new car as well. But after being up close and driving it, holy smokes I want one really bad.
Have to agree one of my favorites too. Have been on the fence about doing a repaint. Thinking gts blue with silver stripes. Like the vca 2002 gts acr raffle car. I am sure the sapphire purest just fainted.
Front fascia look like a repaint. The sheen in the clear is different between it and the rest of the car. Fascia repaints are not uncommon, heck mine needs it. Just make sure it was scrapes and rock chips that called for it. Try to get previous owners info. In KY we are allowed to request this...
Make sure you have someone that knows exactly what they are doing. So many of these have been done incorrectly. Like previously posted Send Tom Sessions a PM. He's a great guy and can steer you the right direction.
Agree 100% I have called on them several times and have always exceeded my expectations. (One of the reasons I payed for the venom membership are the discounts):2tu:
Got a call this a.m. from my ins. agent at the corvette museum. Tells me there is a brand new gen v there with a dealer from nebraska. So I rush over to see it in person. Super great guy from Baxter chrysler out of Omaha. Says they are in for the weekend. Challenger fest taking place here in...
