    Sheared Ring Gear Bolts

Hi everyone, So my 94 RT/10 broke down--differential problem of some kind. So I took the diff out, opened it up, and found that all of the bolts on my ring gear are sheared. Curious if anyone knows of any ring gear kits with larger bolts that are available for a 94 RT/10? If not, the sheared...

    A pop, then no-go

The car has a little over 36,000 miles on it. The history information I have is "good" history, no known issues, clean Carfax, etc...but certain things could have been left out or not reported. After I bought it, I did find my way to some old pictures of it where it had been doing some donuts...

    A pop, then no-go

Thanks for the insight...wasn't sure if this was a known Viper issue that I hadn't heard of. Hoping to get under the car in the next few days. Travis getupandgo.blog

Do gen 1's actually have adjustable pedals? I was told yes by a couple people, but I can't find a way to adjust mine... Travis getupandgo.blog

    A pop, then no-go

Hi everyone, So today while driving my 94 RT/10, I was rolling very slowly forward, waiting for my turn to take a left at an intersection, and when I gave it some gas to go, I heard a pop underneath me, and then the car wouldn't move (engine was fine, but no power to the wheels). Once I got it...

    Viper Mysteries

I believe there are. I've been trying to take a better look down there, but it's a tough space to get your head into. I'll take another look soon though.

    Viper Mysteries

Here's the picture of the knob I've been promising--took me quite a few tries to get a picture of it that actually makes sense, as the Viper's footwell is a pretty cramped and awkward space to get a picture from... I can turn it, but doesn't seem to do anything. Didn't know if anyone else had...

    1995 Viper Peeling Trunk

Paint is peeling in mine too. Been tempted to paint it with a bed liner or something, so it will look nice but also be rugged.

    1995 Viper Corroded Brake Booster

I was originally thinking stored in rain, or somewhere moist? But spilled brake fluid makes sense, that is nasty stuff and can damage finishes. -Travis getupandgo.blog

    1995 Viper with 66k miles

I bought a '94 with 33k miles for $28,000 and some change (and I'm in Maine, hi neighbor). My trunk is doing a little bit of the chipping here and there, but not sure about the brake booster...mine is actually quite clean. Maybe it was left out in the rain, was somewhere moist? Northern east...

    Viper Mysteries

I do believe there is an aftermarket amp installed, as well as a multi-disc changer. I'll take a closer look at it and get a picture posted, but I'm definitely leaning towards it being related to the audio system.

I don't think so, it's pretty tiny and seems to be electronic...I'll find the pic I took when I first got it and post it

    Viper Mysteries

Does anyone have any mysteries with their Viper that they just can't figure out? I've got a few, but one of the stranger ones is a tiny knob underneath the lip of the dash under the steering wheel. I'm assuming it isn't stock...and the best guess I have is something related to the audio system...

    Spare Key for RT/10

Hi guys, just to bring some closure this thread--I got the key recut, and it works! The guys tried arguing with me a bit that it must have been a chip key, but thanks to your help and insight, I was able to tell them otherwise...so they recut it and now it works, so thanks again!

Thanks! I'm gonna head back in the next few days and have them recut it...we'll see how it goes.

    Spare Key for RT/10

Thanks, I will try that as well. I did notice while comparing keys that the fronts do look nearly identical, but from the side some of the depths/plunges don't line up very well.

    Spare Key for RT/10

Yeah, sorry I didn't specify, but both keys do appear to match, which is partly why I thought I'd ask about the chip. I'll take a closer look for burrs.

    Spare Key for RT/10

Hey everyone, I need some Viper expertise: I got spare key cut for my '94 RT/10, but it doesn't work. I went back to the people who cut it and told them it doesn't work, and they told me that the there is a probably a chip in the key. Is that the case? So far my research points to no, but I...

Viper, cars, motorcycle stuff on YouTube

I'm actually right in Portland! Not too many Vipers around here, but there are some (recently saw a green 3rd gen). It's been super hot here this summer, but it's been great for cruising in the RT/10 (as long as I have my glasses and hat).

Yes, for sure--between the back roads and the coastal roads, there's a lot of great drives/rides to be had.

Thanks! I'm actually way up in Maine...but if I ever do a cross country trip in the Viper, I'll keep that in mind.
