Just answered my own questio. Hit their website and a banner at the top says they are not taking any new orders.
Bummer. I need some of their stuff.
I wonder where all those parts will go?
Always interested to learn stuff. So a question to James and viper 10907.
Why an 8 spd automatic? The Viper engine has so much torque you could drive around with a 2 spd Powerglide. LOL
I fully appreciate the advantages of an automatic. But why that one?
There have been some 20 plus Vipers...
On a Gen 3 (2006) after the transmission has been removed, would it be a good idea to fab a temporary engine support crossmember (I'm thinking at the lower rear edge of the engine where the bellhousing dust cover attaches) between the frame rails so the car can be moved/rolled around the shop...
2006 (Gen 3) Dodge Viper Coupe
Long term storage/dead battery/security system reset
Subject at hand: a 2006 Dodge Viper Coupe that has been in storage and unmaintained for 7 years.
The car battery is dead of course and the key fob batteries are dead.
A full slate of maintenance will be done...
Can anyone recommend a good Tremec T56 repair shop in soutehrn California who can repair and intall all the newest upgrades.
Or do I send it back to Tremec. Cheers

You can buy those Dynatech Vortex cones separately without the pipe shown in the picture. They come in different sizes to slip into existing pipes.
Because of the large surface area of the cone and the large number of holes, the "effective area"
(the area the exhaust gases can pass through)...
Here are some thoughts on the subject. First two questions.
1) Is it a sealed beam fog light or a replaceable bulb type light?
2) If a bulb type, is the bulb sealed to the back of the housing with a rubber "shower cap"?
On my 65 Shelby Cobra, the Lucas PL700 headlites had a removable bulb and...
Sorry to be coming to the party so late (I know this is an old thread)but how do I view the pics. They all have X's.
It would be great to view Dave's sill mods.
Merry Christmas to all

Thanks prodiver. I saw those trim rings on the Viper Store site.
I was looking for something to completely cover the black area on the rocker panel around the exhaust tip exit.
Cheers
Greg
I've seen pics on the net of Gen III cars with what looks like a Stainless Steel formed trim in that area (not the ss/chrome ring around the exhaust tip).
Just wondering if there was an aftermarket trim piece available?
Cheers

Can anyone tell me what the black accent material is on the rocker panel around the exhaust outlet on the Gen III 's.
Are there any aftermarket accents/trim to replace them?
Cheers
Greg
Hi 99RT10GTS. Thanks for your response. I have seen them on e-bay at that price.
Still thinking about it. I have a Gen 4 hood on a Gen 3 Viper and thinking about how to adapt the Gen 4 air cleaner assy to the Gen 3 air intake/throttle body. A little custom engineering required.
Cheers
Greg
