\'00 GTS alarm question

The alarm on my GTS gives the three chirp signal when the car is unlocked using the fob if the car has sat in the garage for about a week. If it only goes a day or two between drives this doesn't happen. Other than the obvious "drive your car more" answer is this normal behavior? If not, is there a way to find out why the car thinks it was tampered with?

We may not have the same problem...but mine did that the other day, so I changed to the alternate fob and it stopped. I attributed it to a failing battery.

My fobs are both new since when the car went through auction someone decided to grab the keys and fobs as souvenirs. I'll try the other fob for awhile and see what happens.

It would be way easier to figure this out if the problem didn't take a week or so to recur.
