\'05 Dreaded Shock Bolt Rattle...Might not be!!!!

My brother and I just did the Dan Lesser shock bolt replacement on my VCA Special edition '05 # 10 of 50. I had rattles that you would not believe!
I thought for sure I HAD TO HAVE THE SHOCK BOLT KIT!!!
Well.... now I'm not so sure.
While we had the car on the jacks, we found the left rear upper "A" arm mounting bolts to be EXTREMELY loose! These bolts RATTLED front to rear AND up and down with just finger movement! After checking all of the other corners, we tightened up these uppers to match the other corners. Guess what...
No more rattle. Was it the new shock bolts?? WHO KNOWS!
BUT-
I recommend all you owners of the first 50 '05's.....Check your "A" Arm bolts!
Put your car up in the air (no weight on the suspension) and see if you can turn your "A" arm bolts with your hand. I'll suggest you should NOT be able to do this!

However--- If I'm wrong... I'm sure this site will tell me!!!
Good news is ...I'm fixed!

THANKS DAN!!!

keep in mind when you torque these bolts the weight of the car needs to be on the suspension(loaded). It you torque them while in the air with the suspension hanging when you lower the car the bushing will all be loaded. This car cause the car to handle poorly. As for the shock bolts if the bolts are torqued properly the shocks will not move with the stock shock bolts installed.I have seen may loose bolts in the rear suspensions on these cars over the years.Mostly swaybar link nuts.
