Now that the weather has started reaching into the 90s, I've been reminded of the terrible heatsoak with my Paxton car. I've researched some options to help, but the DLM upgrades seem to be hit or miss according to forum searches.

How much help would an 08 hood be? It'd be nice to finally have a mod that improves the looks, and solves a problem with the car:lmao:

The airflow through the front of the car will improve so technically the Paxton cooler should see more cooling air. The real problem is the limited amount of actual fluid available to recirculate hence the heat soak. It might help but only a small amount.

Call NICK at Modern (732)222-3679 and let him custom build you one of his intercoolers (last Viper one he did held GALLONS of fluid ).They are not cheap BUT really help fight the heatsoak.

DC can put together a larger intercooler pump and bigger intercooler. They can also tune the factory computer to come on sooner (lower temp), which along with a 170 t-stat will help a bunch.

They tuned my 900+ rwhp Paxton with the factory computer and did the above cooling tricks. I added a comp coupe hood with the large open center vents (the 2008 hood should help too) and no more big power losses with heat soak.

You really should call Dan at DC and talk with him.
