1 More Vband question, use NEW one each time?

Just looking through the service manual and see insistent instructions to use a new one if you take one off . Can't reuse the old one? I had to ask, I haven't seen it mentioned here at all. Thanks

Per the manual yes. However I think I would try to rese as log as it looks okay. Worst thing I can think of is you hear a leak and replace it.

..Wonder what the re-use problem is supposed to be? Maybe the V part spreads out the when it's tightened, and is missing that last mm of clench when you try and re-use it. What a pain...

The V-Band clamp provided by Chrysler will spread where the "T" bolt end secures and could possibly come loose if over tightened. Race Shop Supplies in Cali distributes better quality V-Band clamps that can be reused over and over since the "T" bolt end is full captured.
