1\" Seat Lowering kit? Anyone use it?

I just recently bought a 94 RT/10 and love it. I'm 6'4", however, so you can imagine the tight fit. I've been looking into the Northwind Engineering seat lowering kit (1" w/ travel). Can anyone share their experience with these kits? Is it more comfortable? Noticeable increase in head/leg room? I'm not sure their return policy, so I'd like to get some actual feedback before I buy.

Thanks

Re: 1

I'm 6'3" and have one and I love it. Makes a huge difference. I would have gotten the 2" but then the seat is fixed and can't be moved. Would have been fine for me but then wifey couldn't drive the car ;) , she made it VERY clear that if that if that happened I'd have to buy her a Viper of her own.

I'm 6'2" and use this kit to be able to drive my GTS with a helmet on. Being lower also feels better for normal driving. Good kit, well engineered.

I'm 6'2'' and had one in my GTS and put on in the SRT/10. I also track my cars.

On the GTS though, I tilted the front up with some washers and longer bolts for more leg support.

Re: 1

I lowered my seats to the floor with a homemade kit. I got the idea from someone on here. I just used a ton of washers and 1/8" steel that I cut to length with a cut-off wheel and drilled holes with a hand drill and good metal bit. you can't see the stuff anyway since the seats are so low and the mount is very solid (beefier than stock mounts & rails). The seats are lowered approximately 2". I'm 6'0" but I lowered the seats because I was rubbing my head on the tops when they were installed. I love the feel of the car with the lower seats and don't miss the adjustability...

Oh, I forgot to add that I made my own kit because I didn't want to pay $180/seat to lower 2" and didn't want the driver's seat all the way back (since I'm not 6'4"). I actually have the seat forward just a little (about one detent on the stock adjustable seat mounts) which allows me to lean the seat back a little.

I was actually hitting one of the crossbars in the soft top. the damn thing was right on my head, very annoying...
