Well, yesterday we had Dyno Day III in Kansas City. It was a blast, with eleven Vipers showing up, including 3 SRT-10's (one pictured):

True to my word, I let several Viper owners take my SRT for a drive to see what they thought. One gentleman and his lovely bride took an exceptionally long time. We started to wonder what exactly was going on. No worries, just curious. He came back with an interesting story: They had taken it out on the nearby Interstate that was empty. Wanted to see what the wind noise was like - at 120 mph or so. On the decel, they see the flashing lights: Clocked at an official 106 MPH. Fortunately, this Viper owner is one of two police officers in our club. They exchanged pleasantries about the new Viper, traded handcuff recipes, and shook hands goodbye. Of course, I would have been in prison, but he comes back with another great story. Oh, and they now want an SRT-10 and offered to trade his freshly supercharged RT/10 plus cash. Fun!

Dyno results to be posted soon...

Great story. This weekend I decided to take the SRT for a little spin to Parker, Arizona and back(about 60 miles). To be brief, I drive across the bridge at Parker and head up the California side to Parker Dam. Posted speed limit...35 to 55mph. I pass a Hummer pulling a trailer just before the Dam. The Valentine One goes off... there is a new mobile California Highway Patrol Trailer with patrol car present  No one is in the car  I continue at the unposted Viper speed limit to the Dam and drive though the concrete barriers(placed after 9/11). The Valentine goes off again! The Hummer is behind me and behind the Hummer is the patrol car  The Hummer cannot fit though the concrete barrier, backs up and hits the patrol car! I continue home.

So do they give a free pass to police burglars, rapists, murderers, etc? Don't know why they would let each other do certain crimes and not others unless of course they do not consider speeding a crime when they do it. Watching the cops when on duty you can see that normal things like traffic lights do not apply to them. It is the old do as I say and not as I do syndrome.
