I thought a windshield banner might look good if it didn't
distract you from the rest of the car. I saw pics of Sam Kelly's
and loved it. So I had cutting edge graphics of canada make me one up and i made mine yellow, of course.
It was only $20
here is there link they were wonderful to work with. http://www.cegraphics.com/cars.htm

Jim,
Came out looking great! Did you end up putting it on the outside of the windshield? How's the visibility out of the windshield?

Jim,

I really like it, my have to ditch mine at get one of these, the yellow is a very nice touch.

Finally got the racing pedals on today, thanks again Clark Stegall for giving them to me, they look great. Printed out my help notes from you and did in about an hour and 1/2, it was hot though.

I am headed to Road Atlanta in the morning to catch up with Rocky Horde and some of the other Viper guys. I do not plan to put the Yellow Fever on the track still less than 1000 miles. Do not tell the wife I have my racing suit and helmet in the car just in case the opportunity presents itself....

Hope all is well with you and your family!!!!

Ken,
it applies to the outside of the windshield.
the letters are only 3 inch so the visibility is no issue at all!! Drove today and forgot it was even on.
cool.gif

I thought that it would be removed the next day, just not sure I would like it... but it has grown on me and now I love it.
And will not remove it.

I would recommend it to everyone.
Install takes some patience.. one letter at a time...

Sam,
All is well... sorry won't see ya at VOI keep in touch my friend.
Love your car .. it inspires me to do more...
Glad you got your pedals on

cstegall,
The install was not too hard. going on the outside of the windshield instead of inside helped.
just butted the banner against the top of the windshield.
sliced out each letter (working with one letter at a time)
and done.

the graphic comes with good instructions and Chris Brown at the graphic place was very helpful.

best wishes

I originally bought a Dodge graphic from an individual for $10 and it was a ***** to get on since it was flat and didn't follow the curve on the glass. I ended up taking it off because....

I bought a Viper windshield graphic from Viperware with the two Sneaky Pete's on either end. It came with the proper curve built into it so I just sprayed some glass cleaner on the (already clean) windshield, peeled the backing off and slid it around until it was in postion, then squeegee'd the cleaner out and peeled off the other side. It looks great and I get lots of comments (if that matters). Downside was it was $60 bucks but with the ease of installation you get what you pay for.

BTW Jim yours look great and very unique! Great job!

BigsViper,
I agree install would have been easy if it had the proper curve.
but the company did not have a viper to make a templet.
Unless a vca member up in Manitoba, Canada can stop by cutting edge.
I just pushed it up the top cut between each letter. made it if to the top with the relief cuts.
Total install took me 45 mins and this was my first windshield
banner.

so it can be done and done cheap $20 if you have a little patience and who knows maybe someone up there can help them out so that it will be perfect fit.
best wishes

Makara,
i was very, very leary of the banner.
I didn't want it to look ricey.
the pics i posted were close up and look large but in reality
they are only 3 inch and the ghost letters instead of solid doesn't look ricey. when you take a step or two back you can hardly notice it.

Better Pic!! I LOVE the ghost letters! I wonder if I could get the same graphic I have but with the ghost letters (and the proper curve).

The graphic I have is the Viper lettering like on the side of the hood, with a Sneaky Pete on either end. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Jason Ward are you reading this?

Don't get me wrong, I like it. I just sometimes wonder what the line is between a few add ons and rice. I have belanger side exhaust and high flow cats on my viper. To some it's loud and annoying. It's also got big chrome tips. Is that rice or not? I wonder what the civic guys think about my mods.

BigsViper,
I know of the banner you have and it is nice.
the company originally sent me one that looked just like the side emblems. I asked for this one because it looked sort of odd having (rt/10) in smaller letters.
As far as the correct curve. if anyone has a old banner paper.
( the contact paper that gets thrown out) that would be all you would need. Again, unless someone in Canada; near them volunteers to help them with pattern.
But it really wasn't that bad of an install. Just need some patience. The pedals were much, much more of a pain to install.

Also getting the same graphic should not be a problem. They do custom work pretty much whatever you want. Talk with Chris brown.
They were great to work with.
Good luck

Bill,
Thanks always trying.

I thought what would be ricey. Anything with less that 10 cylinders.
laugh.gif

The more i think about you really can't make a gen1 or gen 2 viper ricey.
People have tried. Rear wings, etc. But the car still looks awesome!!

jimandela,

What is next? After the pedals/stickers? Neon lights and a big wing?

You are dangerously approaching the rice limit, be careful.

I'm guessing Alan will be commenting soon.

Not to worry. Tracking it will de-rice it - Viper Days.

Required. You'd know that if you ever been on a track. Poser.

Wish I could join your cruise this weekend, but I'll be RACING!!!

Logo looks good, but what the **** are those stickers in the windshield??? Are those your DMV required stickers for the state of NY? You could run over small children with those things in your eye path.

Jerry,
Yes, one the far right is the huge NYS inspection sticker and the left is the MONSTER size registration sticker.

I agree way too big but what can ya do?????

Here in NYS they also want front plates... but I refused to put it on so just carry in the passenger seat rear pocket just incase.
