2001 Warranty Question. Please advise.

Hello again,

Well I am getting closer to pulling the trigger on the car and am getting some conflicting info from delaers and D-C. If I purchase a 2001 from a dealer (new, never titled), what warranty would it come with? After being on hold for a half hour with
D-C they informed me it would come with the 3-year, but dealer told me 7/70k. Anyone have any advice or experience? Thanks.

I believe the dealer is incorrect. The 7/70 is for model year 2002's +

I would listen to DC.

From the exact words of the DC 7/70 Question and Answer sheet for customers ( every dealer should have gotten one of these).

Question #1
What vehicles are covered by the 7 year/70,000 Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty?
All 2003 Dodge,Chrysler or Jeep Models and original purchases of 2001 and 2002 models made on or after July 9th,will be covered,with the exception of police,taxi, and limousine, postal,and ambulance vehicles.

Do yourself a favor and call Chuck Tator at Tators Dodge in South Salem, NY. Probably a 45 minute drive from Stamford (30 minutes after you get your Viper

). I've dealt with the Stamford Dodge Dealer and they're real nice, but they don't make any "deals". If you get your Viper, trust me, you WILL make Chuck your dealer! 914 763-3136.

On a separate note I must say that the quality of people on this message board are top notch.

I have been cruising the board for a while just getting info and now that I am almost ready to buy I decided to start posting for specific information. Thanks again and hopefully I can be an official member real soon!
