Please know that this VIPER is a MANUFACTURER BUYBACK. This was because the original owner replaced the water pump 3x. Dodge bought the car back from him becuase of this. This is a two owner car and has been on the same water pump since 1000 miles.

Am I the only one who thinks this is fishy? Seems like I read another tread from someone here that was trying to get Dodge to buy back under the lemon laws and had a very very hard time with them.

If not then that is a killer deal!

A while ago was a clean 2002 Bumblebee ACR for $49k on ebay and it didn't sell. It sold a month later... (I missed it :-( ). THAT was a killer deal.

the problem is, even if the matter was resolved, and the car is problem free at this point... Its still a lemon law car. This has a HUGE effect on the value of a viper (15-20% less than the same car, without the buyback history). I would rather pay the $58k (or so) for the "right" car. You'll get it back in re-sale. but hey, thats me...

Buy backs are documented to what and why... Many people will not buy a Buy Back, but I would take that over a rebuilt title all day long...

Some of these tech's are also clueless and half the reason for some of the buy backs...

Believable... yes... Fishy, naa...

I did buy a 2006 Jeep Buy Back with 800 miles.... Bad wheel bearing/Hub assembly. Fixed under warranty, bought 10K below invoice, NO problems since....

Hey, in 5 years the buy back will have little effect on value... Maybe 2K (maybe) but you save the 10K now and enjoy the ride and ulimatly put 8K in your pocket (or mods).
