Man - Like an idiot I thought I could just go out every 4 weeks and start the snake and not do a full witerize on her.

Well - battery is dead. nothing works. Cant get in car. manual is inside car.

I assume I need to pop the hood, pull the batter and go buy a new one. Correct?

If so - recommendations on battery? Also - getting in - isnt there a place under the front to insert the key and pop the door so I can pop the hood?

Thanks for any and all help. I'll do better next winter.

Nope Battery is in the trunk. Go to a parts store and get a battery tender and hook it up under the hood then start it in a day or so.. Note to self leave the battery tender on when not in use.....

On Steve's recommendation, I just put a new DieHard Platinum in my 2003 last Saturday. We'll see how she starts this Saturday after sitting a week. (Can't keep a tender on her).

Unless the battery is relatively new, I would replace it.

I think I'll buy the new battery and get it hooked up to tender.

Much to learn........ Thanks for replies.

Keep in mind you don't need to get in the car to pop the hood. Once the hood is up , jump the car using the positive post and the doors will pop open.

Drive down and get your battery.

Welcome to the Club -- this has happened to all of us.

Thanks for all the help. I pulled the battery cover off. Talk about stripped screws from dealer work. Yikes. I jumped it for 25 minutes and it fired right up. Initially it just clicked after 10 minutes and then I gave it longer based upon others responses about needing more juice. I will be replacing battery this weekend. I went to store and found replacement bolts so i'll be ready to go.

The tip about unlocking the door and pushing in on door at same time while feeling like the key would snap was a big help. Opened easily.

It was nice to get out and cruise this past weekend.

A battery tender will not charge a dead battery unless you parallel it with a good battery for trigger voltage.
