2006 VCA doors won’t open from outside

Doors on my 2006 VCA coupe won’t open from outside ‍. Anyone had this problem and what is the solution? Thank you all.

Had this problem on my 03 after changing the battery. Putting a key in ignition and switching on and off fixed it.

Have you tried manual reset of alarm?

I have not. Is there a procedure to follow. Battery is new but I rarely drive it and it sits for extended periods. I do not have a trickle charger for it. Car just went over 4200 miles

Update! I disconnected the negative terminal for about 5 minutes, reconnecting and it now works. Go figure. . Thank you Steve-Indy and Old School for your help and replies!

I had that problem with my 2000 GTS. It started out as intermittent and then they failed completely. Turned out to be broken wires in the loom going through the door. Dealer fixed it the first time under warranty but didn't do a very good job so I fixed it the second time and haven't had an issue since. I ended up making the wires longer.
