2008 Production Numbers

Happy Thanksgiving Viper Nation! Here's a Turkey Day present from us to you, a little spreadsheet that shows the 2008 production numbers by color and body style. As you can see, Venom red had the highest production numbers while Viper Violet was the lowest. Hopefully this answers some of your questions related to build quantities.

12/02 UPDATE!!! - Looks like there was already some work going on regarding this very subject. Looks like a complete breakdown of colors and stripes will be soon appearing in the Viper Magazine!! We got together and found that some of the numbers we quoted here previously included development cars (that cannot be sold) and other VIN's that were cancelled for whatever reason. This new chart has the updated numbers so check it out. We won't spill the beans for the Viper Magazine here so you will have to wait to get the breakdown on stripes! As you can see most of the changes are to the Viper Red volumes and there was one special paint car produced (Silver).

How many of those coupes are ACR's?? Is there a ratio/percentage you are seeing on coupe vs ACR orders?

I would love to see what the numbers are for strips and color combos. GTS Blue no strips coupe looks pretty rare

Thanks a bunch for the Thanksgiving Day present, and there can be no doubt that the Violet is the lowest production color ever. Nice historical note, but I was quite surprised there are so few of the Viper Blue machines out there. Folks who actually see the color are blown away, but it will be doubly interesting to see how many ACRs are in the Viper Blue and Violet colors???

I second that...I'd like to know as it looks like we're 1 of 45 (but what number are we? Like are we the 3rd one made, lol...how does one tell from the VIN#?), but how many of those 45 had the silver stripes? VERY curious...didn't realize NOT many GTS Blue verts were made! COOOOOL!!!! OK, this is all you are going to get for now (so don't ask for more!). We have added the number of ARY's (Aero Package) and ACR's for each color. To break it down further (stripe color, options, etc.) will take more time than we have for this right now.

This is fantastic, and I am sure it will tide folks over. Since vacation starts for you in a couple of weeks, suffice it to say that sometime in 2009 will be soon enough to get it more precise --- this is 10 times better info than we used to get just 3-5 years ago.

You could probably forward your question to the SRT Engineers (by PM)? But, remember, they are off for the holiday...but I'm sure they'll get back to you as soon as they can!

I noticed that too. I kept turning the page to see if the coupe / stripe count was on the next page...not there. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

i believe the number is 20. 45 total roadsters.

The Paperwork takes some time. If you really wanted this issue this issue you should has purchased your Viper mid Summer.

Yes, there is a good chance your paperwork may not be processed intime to get the issue, however, you can still purchase the issue! Just give Viper Headquarters a call and tell them what you need. They will be able to help you!

As it turns out, some of the chart printed in the recent Viper Magazine somehow got cut off. The rest of the chart does show the breakdown (colors and stripes) for coupes and ACR's. We have spoken with the Magazine and they will probably run it again in its entirety so we won't spoil it here just yet. Hang loose and if it doesn’t show we will post it later.
