2010 ACR Coolant Change

Doing a coolant change on my 2010 ACR. The front belly pan needs to be dropped . Any of you 2010 ACR guys who have removed the front belly pan?

I have removed the 4 belly pan to frame bolts, and the 4 belly pan to wheel housing screws. It looks like I need to remove the 4 front-splitter cable bolts (4 mm hex) located on the underside of the belly pan (located toward the front of the belly pan next to the front splitter)?

Any complications in removing the 4 front-splitter cable bolts? When they are reinstalled, what is the torque spec?

Are there any rivets that need to be removed?

Seems like a lot of hassle could have been averted by using a trap door under the drain petcock!!


Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I love the ACR!!

While you are under there, you might also want to trim away some of underbody aero that slightly blocks access to the frame tie down holes. I used a grinder to free up room in that trim panel so that I could use r hooks to tie down the car in a trailer.

I suggest you release the cables where they connect to the upper braces. Also, be aware there is some two sided tape holding the piece on to the bottom of the front of the car. That has to be pryed away.

PS-Are you sure you cannot release the coolant hose on the bottom of the radiator to drain it? I have replaced mine but I cannot recall if you can access it without removing the front splitter but I think you can.

Just in case the radiator fitting is frozen, can you access the bottom radiator hose, that is the way i always drained my G2. That was common practice, since several owners had ripped the thin gauge material that the drain fitting was soldered into.
