2012 NY/CT Event Planning

NY/CT Brothers/Sisters, your officers are gearing up for the 2012 event season. Our events planning meeting will be in February and as always we need your input into planning another successful event calendar for this year. We have a few special events in the works but would like to hear from you. Let us know what you'd like to see on the event calendar? Interested in putting an event together? Want to contribute to the new NY/CT Club e-zine? We're all ears!

Happy New Year to everyone! This will be a year to remember! A Viper Owners Invitational right in our own back yard, NY Auto Show, TatorTogo, Hampton's Cruise, Go-Karting, just to name a few. Like Tony said, your Officers and Directors are looking forward in hearing from you.

Winter will pass soon enough but if you do go out into the cold, think about your tire temperature please!

Excellent, thanks for the NASA events/track request. We may also be integrating some track events with our region brothers/sisters from NE, NJ, PA, Canada, VA/MD. It's going to be a busy year. Keep in mind that VOI 12 will also be loaded with track-related items I can't yet discuss.

Also, we're trying to finally make available an autocross event. Perhaps we extend our Venom Cup trophy beyond NJ/NY-CT and to all of the northeas regions. I mean it does get pretty boring beating NJ every 2 years. (We should do it every year, ). But seriously.

Something else that was submitted was drag racing, or, at least a venue where folks unfamilar with the drag strip can learn how to launch, etc. while those more advanced can pull to their hearts content. It may be very possible to utilize an airport/airstrip this year centrally located to the NY/CT club. We'll see.
