As the recent progress shots showcased, the 2013 SRT Viper by Vivid Racing is an eye-catcher with it featuring a host of carbon fiber components. Arguably most eye-catching is the brand new bare carbon fiber hood which adds a really unique flair to the American supercar. Maintaining focus on the front end, the 2013 SRT Viper by Vivid Racing also features new carbon fiber front canards and a carbon fiber front splitter.

Moving to the side, the 2013 SRT Viper by Vivid Racing includes new carbon fiber side skirts. However, these are certainly overshadowed by the custom gold Niche wheels! Onto the rear, and the exterior modifications for the 2013 SRT Viper by Vivid Racing are completed with a prominent carbon fiber rear wing and carbon fiber rear diffuser.

Looks very tacky and piecemealed. The hood could look better if the portions over the wheels were body color. Seibon should have done a CF hatch instead, with the lip spoiler removed before adding the wing. Rice.

Hate the hood... Looks like it needs to be painted and they could not afford it. The wing is just not the right scale or shape for that car IMO... Just looks to big and bulky on the sleek **** lines of the Gen V.

I wonder what a Gen IV ACR wing would look like on a Gen V... The body dimensions aren't that far apart, and I'd bet the aerodynamics over the car would allow the wing to work really well as long as it remained adjustable and was at the right height.

The designer of the changes to the vehicle above is named Leonardo de Crappo.

I question the sanity of anyone who thought that hood would look good on our cars. Exposed elements of CF could look good (think stripes here) but as a whole left exposed it looks very unfinished.

That would have looked much better on a black car. But I want to know what's all the tricks UNDER the hood.

Showing this car at Sema may bring even more negative response from the critics. From a distance the car looks like had the body panels sourced out from a wrecker and need a full paint tp look finished,LOL.I agree with others the car should be black and be complemented by carbon pieces.
Will be real interesting to hear the feedback from the audience of SEMA

I think most of you do not understand that this is a SEMA display car, meant to show the new carbon fiber parts that Seibon produced for the Viper. The parts being painted wouldn't display the parts well. Seibon has done this each year, with different vehicles. After the show, the cars are usually returned back to stock or painted properly. This car isn't "finished" or meant to be driven around as-is. It is just a product display canvass.

You guys should at least be happy that some companies are willing to develop parts for the new Viper. Instead, you guys bash. ~shrug~

I agree with Nine, the car is a manikin to showcase the products that the company is offering. Hard to beat the factory wheels though....some things are better left untouched.

The GTS owners should be happy about the hood. If you wanted the SRT hood and your car wasn't built that way, you have a real CF alternative. It will probably cost less than the OEM peice. No one said you have to leave the carbon exposed....

Not to get off on a tangent, the entire hood is already CF, is this just a piece from Vivid to show what they CAN do with CF?

Good post Tony. I thought the car was a finished product. My apologies.

People read the info from Vivid's site may look at the complete picture not just parts that replaced on the car by Vivid.

Yes, I'm happy that Vivid racing is making these parts for the Viper!

What I meant was that this is the SRT hood design. If you have a GTS hood, this is a good option and it is a real CF option.

Why do you bother posting. No one is interested in your child like comments. I do not understand why the moderator has not banned you. You are almost up to 100 content-less posts.

The hood, roof and liftgate are all carbon fiber. I often wonder why the dont give the option of living them un-painted. Or have them finished like the one in the pic.
