A 4L60e robs 19% power vs 12% on a T56, on an LS car that's 40-50rwhp difference typically for a modded one. Hard to imagine a beefier 8 speed requiring less. Also the weight of the 8sp auto while lighter than a 6L80 will be a good 50lb north of a T6060.

Wouldn't that also mean that slapping slicks on a ZR1 would likely yield similar results? Afterall it was an .1 sec difference between the TA and the ZR1.

What Id love to see is the TA, ZR1 and the G4 ACR at Laguna same day with all three on the latest MPSC compound.

I dont know if you remember Ken Meile who works for McMullen Argus as a writer-test driver.Meile won the modifyed NA class driving one of my Vipers in the old Viper Nats races at Englishtown in the late 90s .(The guy holds a few NHRA national records and contends for the Super Stock Class every year)Anyhow he got hold of a new Vette last November at Atco and was running 11.4 easily at around 117 with the auto trans .The car had under 500 miles on it and he couldnt believe how well the chasis hooked and how fast the tranny shifted .(To trap 117 and produce that kind of ET on a stock tired car is saying something.)A typical stock Gen 2(same power to weight ratio ) trapping that speed is going to produce an ET (pro driver )in the high 11s
