Last year the Woodhouse Auto Family sponsored a track event for our performance minded drivers, etc. It was a huge success and we had quite a few Vipers show up, but we would love to see the number increase. The event encompasses two full days of Instruction, track time, free lunch, etc. for the extremely high price of .......................drum roll ....................One hunnert dollarzzz !

Yes, for $100 you get tons of track time over 2 days, quality track instruction, the free lunch ( yes, Virginia there is such a thing ) and plenty of comraderie. We will have on hand Instructors who have experience in Snakes , including one of the racers in the new ACR-X Viper Cup Series.

Looks like we are up to 10 Vipers -----------------need to see some of you crazy Coloradons over here for hot laps.

Not a bad drive for those in Iowa , Minnesota , Missouri, Eastern Illinois , Colorado, Kansas, S. Dakota, Northern Oklahoma, and of course Nebraska. We even had some Snakecharmers from Wisconsin last year.

Most people end up staying in Council Bluffs , Iowa, and there are plenty of places there including the Ameristar Casino , Harrahs, as well as plenty of name brand Hotels/Motels in the area.

This is about a 18 mile drive to the track. The closest town is Glenwood , Iowa and they have a few motels, but this is a small town of around 7,000 people ( though it is about 2-3 miles to the track ).

17 Vipers, 36 Porsches so far towards the 100 entries. Only those driving the products we sell can register till Sunday, so get your Viper buddies to get signed up. Would be cool if we could get 25 Snakes out there on track!!!

Actually I think the number is a bit higher than that ,but it is double what it was last year. Keep in mind this is open to all the vehicles all our Dealerships sell. There are around 35 Porsches and the second number of cars is Vipers ----- way , way more than the number of Vettes, Mustangs, Nissan Zs, etc.

We will be the second biggest group , so actually a great showing!

We had a great event! The weather gods did not do us much good although the track did dry each day and everyone was tired of driving with so much track time available. We had 27 instructors available and each one of us had at least 2 students. The responses from them via Emails and postings on FB etc... have been awesome. We would have loved better weather, but in reality it did not matter in the least. We lost 6 people total out of 108 because of it and the guests we had said it would be tops on their list for next year so enter early if you want in at the next one!

We are very fortunate that the Woodhouse Auto Family is so supportive of our love for cars. It is truly amazing that a dealership can be so "on board" with Motorsports and spreading the love for it in this way. Thanks go out to our team of great organizers from Marketing and sales for stepping it up this year and continuing to plan for more and more each year into the future. A special thanks to Bill Pemberton for being the head designer and visionary for Woodhouse Motorsports way back in the early 90's and hanging on to his dreams so long. he should take great pride in the fact that he has succeeded in a huge fashion and touched so many lives including mine along the way!

Modded to Hell does describe Mark's car to a tee!!! Don't think there are too many Gen IVs out there that will pull an ACR-X down the straights and hang with one for quite awhile.........pretty darn good testament to all the suspension tweaks , engine mods , cosmetics, etc. done at Woodhouse Motorsports.

Too say Mark's car is fast is an understatement , but it makes both car and man great ambassadors for the Snake!!

Great time and with Vipers from Iowa , Nebraska, Wisconsin, etc. we had a great showing considering the weather --- 16 Vipers showed up and only Porsche had more representatives of their marque.

We are looking at two track events next year, with one for Vipers in June ( partnering with Furstenau Financial Mgmt ) and hopefully another track experience with all brands in September - we will keep you posted.

I was a great experience. I was lucky enought to have Bill ride along for the first day, giving me track tips. The second day I rode with Bill in his ACR as he chased an ACR-X.
