The battery seems to be shot. I'm off to buy a new battery ...and a lift that fits under the car. Any suggestions for when I change this battery out?

You do know it's behind the driver's side rear wheel?

Buy a good one! And buy a battery tender to, as you will be putting it in storage here soon enough. :D

Or if your cheap like me, go to home depot and have them cut two pieces of 2x12 and drive either the front or back of your car right up on them to raise the car a couple of inches and then just use your ordinary $40 jack from autozone.

A rergular floor jack rolls under the frame from the rear and works great. I lift the rear high anough to put a jack stand on frame in the rear.

Ok I replaced the battery and the car is still dead. Doors don't work. Engine has nothing. Interior lights on but seem dim. Any suggestions?

Ok, I figured it out, the bolt latches down the cable from the rear of the car was almost completely off, causing the car to get partial power. Turns out the original battery was still good. But after the ordeal of getting it out, I said screw it and left the new battery in.

I, like speedluver, got a Harbor Freight jack that will go under my Viper from front, side, or rear. I opted for the next level of racing jack that weighs about 10-15 lbs. more and cost only a little bit more (about $50). I am pleased with it, plus I want a good jack when I work on the "snake". I think that it may be easier to pump also. They come in blue and Alum. color. None of my regular floor jacks would go under it.

If you already have a floor jack do not waste money on a low profile, just get a block of wood to drive up on to so you regular jack goes under the car.

I bought a low profile racing jack from Harbor Freight as well. I think the one you're talking about is the link listed below, which is what I have (in blue). Although I already had a standard floor jack I figure if I can afford a Viper I can afford a quality jack to go with it. It's a pretty good deal right now at $129.99 and they had it at my front door within 72 hours regular ground shipping.
