Ohio VCA will sponsor a Viper class at the Dunlop Neo Nationals in Columbus Aug 16-17. The Vipers will run on Saturday only. We'll have a drag race and Auotcross. Trophies for Drag winner and RU, low et and low et on street tires.
Trophies for Stock (only changes allowed in stock are wheels and filters/must run OEM tires) and Modified in the AutoX. Best combined time in both events gets a trophy and $500 compliments of the Ohio VCA!!!!! Must run the exact same set up in both events to qualify for combined award.
This is a new event for Chrysler Classic, it also includes sport compacts. Entry is on $15!!!! Oh Yeah!! Winners will be on ESPN 2

Your correct Tony, tires too. You can run slicks and skinnies in the drags, but you'd have to run them in the AutoX too.

Why don't we get a block of rooms for the viper participants, or at least try to stay at one location on Friday/Saturday.

Question on the classes, can you run the same setup in both drags and autocross to establish a combo time, then, change tires and try for low et with a new run.

Jack I'll be heading down to Columbus on Friday 8/15 to set up. I'm also working for Dunlop at this event. Probably be in a motorhome.

Rules: We'll have a drivers meeting prior to competition to clarify any gray areas. My earlier post states "your low et during drag competition" is your qualifing time for the combined. Low ET will also be established during drag competition.

I'll try to be there as well. Maybe I can pull Buckeye Viper into going. How much at the gate and cost to enter a Viper into the show? Is it $15 for everyone entering even if they aren't showing/racing a Viper/Mopar?

Can Roe Supercharged Vipers run with just a racing helmet on the driver? I find with my 2" seat lowering kit that I can't find a roll bar that would fit and have me be able to fit with the helmet, too.

Haha, wouldn't you love to see a 95 Saturn run around the track (I know, it's a GM product)? Only things are that 1. my stepdad wouldn't let me do it, 2. my stepdad won't let me do it especially since we just had $2,600 of engine repair done to it. Damm, I wish my dad would have just let me have "my" Mazda back.
