An 83 would still be a Z28 designation. Iroc designation (which replaced Z28) was from 1985-1990 IIRC. After that, dodge got the rights to IROC.

Irocs had both 305 and 350tpi motors (87+).

IROC was the replacement badges for Z28.

Although, the 3rd gen IROC 350 is one of the best handeling F-bodies ever made... Wiiiiideeeee and low.

And if memory serves me (had an '86 Iroc Z28 back in the day) you couldn't get the 350 with a 5 speed, the 350's only came with the auto...they only mated the 5 speed to the 305..typical GM backwards thinking...

White Trash ??

In 1985 if you wanted a V8 rear wheel drive automobile you bought a Chevrolet.

The only cars Chrysler Corp made at that time were K-Car derivatives. Really... who wanted to drive a turbo OMNI ?

Everyone forgets that most of the cars made by Chrysler in the late 70's" and early 80's were junk. They would never start and ALWAYS rusted away ....remember the Aspens, Lebarons, etc.

The IROC in 1985 was a missle !!

This piece of white trash still owns his IROC, along with a 1978 Z-28, 1995 Z-28, and I almost forgot ...1997 GTS and 2000 RT/10.

It may only be a 305 TPI ...but in 1985 ...215HP was a big deal for a new production car.
