Help with Steering Crossmember Measurements

Calling all Viper Guru's.........

Welding in a new Steering Crossmember as in Safety Recall 998. Lost the setup measurement below:

Can anybody please help with a measurement from the underside of the Steering Rack Housing to the top of the chassis rail. Pic attached.

When I had to deal with something similar, getting the measurement right was a must, especially for steering stuff. If nobody’s got the exact numbers, you might have to grab them off a similar setup. I’ve used ruler.onl before for quick checks when I needed to measure something on the fly—it’s super handy for stuff like this.
That said, for something like a steering crossmember, I’d double-check everything before welding it in. It’s not the kind of thing you want to guess on. If you’re stuck, maybe hit up a shop that’s done this recall before—they probably have the specs and could save you a lot of hassle.

Just don't block under the oil filter. The direction initially were incorrect on the position of the gussets

I don't know the target measurement, but:

If it is too high, or low, it will cause bump steer shimming to be outside the envelope. The shim stack under the rack is limited to a maximum of around 5/16" total under the rack bushing washers. It is important to have it equal across the lower frame rail tops, and fore-aft from the square box tube.
