96 GTS Alarm Issue

I know this has already been discussed but it seems that all of the answers have been given via pm (understandably). Can anyone help me out???

I recently purchased a 96 GTS and am having a similar issue. I came out to my car the other day and my fob was dead. Used the key to get in the trunk and pop the emergency latch on the door and the alarm went off which naturally killed the ignition as well. What is the remedy? Unhook the battery behind the wheel well? I stopped the alarm by unhooking the positive terminal under the hood but what is the actual fix? 96-97 doesn’t have the key reset in the glove box. Thanks!

As you can guess, no responsible person is going to post the how-to steps to defeat the alarm system in an open forum.
