I went to a car show the other day, trying to educate people by putting a INFOMATION sheet on my window telling people about the car, years for each generation, specifications, hand built, numbers built etc. People did not know they are still being built! or Never have seen one before. Mine being a First Generation did not know about , door handles, windows, traction control etc,. Again I was insulted when signing in the show the Judge asked me what year, I told him 95, he wrote down Vette !!!!! I corrected it immediately, I mentioned how Observant he was and did not expect anything anyway, just wanted to show the car. It was tactfully done, I believe. Just goes to show you , this is a difficult process to educate people , things won't probably change. Oh Well, I have the satisfaction of driving and enjoying a unique Automobile. On the Bright side I did run into a 14 yr old boy at a different classic cruise-in who knew all about the Viper and what a first generation was all about. Hope is out there.
