We had a nice cruise on Saturday up to Lexington, Missouri. With the impending threat of rain it scared off most, but we still managed to get 8 cars there. A red Gen I and a red Gen III happened to be parked side by side before we left, so I shot a few pictures. I thought you might enjoy seeing them together. No comments from me either way, just interesting to see how much they are alike and yet so different at the same time. Enjoy!

PS. Since this has both an RT/10 and an SRT-10, I will post this in both forums for folks to see...

Thanks Chris. Looks just like my garage!

Not sure if you noticed but the SRT looks very tall side by side with an RT/10. Even more so with mine as the RT/10 is lowered.

Great pics (as always).

The louvers and hood scoop make the SRT look more aggressive from the front. The pic thats missing is directly from the back, which would show the huge tires of both cars and how much wider the SRT tires are. I'll take both! :D

Yeah... Very Honda like those new, tame looking Vipers.

Great pics! Thanks Chris. I was one that was scared away by the rain....

Surprise! The tire contact patch width of the original XGT Z tires from the Gen I are wider than those of the SRT. I measured 13 inches on the Gen I versus about 12.5 on the SRT. Not scientific but not a clear SRT advantage. Those XGT Z tires really looked mean from the rear. Too bad they stunk for street traction (cold).

"As soon as I saw the first picture I knew that some GenI/II owner would hop on the opportunity to bash the SRT's appearance. Sad"

I was being very sarcastic here. I love the SRT and have been battling all the anti-SRT/GTS (mostly) jerks for weeks now. Ever since I got to drive one.

The SRT appearance is easily top 3 of anything that can be bought today for any price, in my opinion. Look at those pictures... and that's not even the car in its best color (which is clearly BLACK). Just a GREAT all around car!

Say, black DOES look pretty good, doesn't it...

That did it!

Case dismissed

Anyone who thinks the SRT10 even wipes its a$$ near a Honda needs an eye test. The SRT10 is a worthy successor to the Viper evolution! Best pic yet!

I AGREE!!!!!!

Chris, you've been holding out! That pic rocks. It looks like it came off of the cover of a car magazine. Time to update my wallpaper. Just curious, how did you get it from such a high angle? Keep 'em coming, please!

Nope, not holding out - took that picture this weekend on our cruise. The car was actually in a recessed parking lot. Like this:

Gen III over Gen I anyday, anytime, top-down, or top-up.
Beautiful pictures, BTW, especially the black SRT-10. But I think the photographer is biased towards the black SRT-10's and purposely finds the best vantage points only for the black ones. Just kidding, Chris.
