ACR center console scorching hot

Now that I'm daily driving my 2010 ACR, I'm finding the trans/tunnel and center console to be WAY, WAY hotter than I recall in my 2009 VOI-X coupe.

Did I miss something putting it back together? Any of you guys added additional heat insulation?

You could check the rubber boot that goes around your shifter. They often tear and allow heat from the transmission tunnel to torch your center console area. Its easy to check. Just unbolt the aluminum trim around the surrounds your shifter and the boot will be directly underneath. 30$ fix. Just bought one this week actually because of the same reason.
