Heretofore, my only blue oval has been my F-150. In my never ending flirt with divorce today I made a deal on an 06 Ford GT (white/blue--like my old 05 Comm Ed)

Hopefully, next week I will have pics. Funny-- back when I looked at GTs in 05 I was struck by the HP. Now my CTS-V has more HP--how quickly times have changed.

Congrats! A GT would complete my garage nicely...some day I keep telling myself, some day (when they get to 100k...lol).

Chad, thanks for the kind words--you might get an argument from my wife (BTW, I like the new avatar)

I will be giving up one Viper--my 06. By design I limit myself to 3 sports cars with my garage. I would be dangerous with a storage facility. (a couple of fun daily drivers stay outside)

The 06 has been a blast and I will miss it like all my Vipers. (the 92 and 09 remain--2010 on order )

It came down to the GT and a ZR1. The Zr1 is newer and cheaper and I love how it drives but from 50 paces (with my eyesight) it looks like a $40k Vette. Tough decision.

Hands down I would have taken the GT over the ZR1 as well, congrats!! As you mention the ZR1's look pretty much like every other Vette and in my opinion they should differenciate them a bit more, that is the reason I got rid of my Vette, looked the same as every senior that was driving one.

Now being as you can only drive one car at a time, If you would like me to pop over and drive the other ones for you, just let me know :D

Well done, I think the Ford GT is FAB :2tu:
